At the age of 17, he passed and won the show Talent Search in British Columbia, and this is where his career began. Since then, he has had several songs and No. 1 albums for which he has received several awards.

Early life of Michael Bublé

Michael Steven Buble was born on September 9, 1975 in Burnaby (Canada). Bublé's father, Lewis, was often at sea. He left for a long time his mother, Amber, and grandfather, Demetrio Santanga, who was the primary caregiver for Bublé, and Crystal and Brandi (his two younger sisters).

Santanga's vast collection of recordings became the basis of Bublé's passion for classical jazz and soul music.

Thanks to such famous artists as Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, Michael soon decided that he wanted to follow in their famous footsteps. Bublé said, "I wanted to be a singer and I knew that was the music I wanted to play and sing."

With the support of his grandfather, Bublé entered the talent show and won it. When the organizer (Beverly Delitzch) later discovered that Bublé was only 17 years old (1 year younger than the contest requirements) she disqualified him.

Even so, she was so impressed by his talents that she suggested that he take up talent scouting in British Columbia. After learning all of his grandfather's favorite tunes, Bublé entered the British Columbia competition and won.

Bublé's success prompted Delitzsch to help him record his first independent CD. Meanwhile, Santanga has spread the word that he will offer free plumbing services to anyone who can provide a career for his grandson.

Bublé became a regular visitor to several local music venues.

In 1996, the singer landed a role portraying Elvis in the Vancouver musical Red Rock Diner and soon caught the eye of Debbie Timuss, fellow dancer and singer in the production.

Two years later, the couple moved to Toronto to star in another musical revue, this time with the big band Forever Swing (1998).

Big "breakthrough"

But Bublé's real breakthrough came during a speech at a party for Michael McSweeney, a former adviser to the Canadian prime minister.

McSweeney was so impressed with Bublé that he began distributing the artist's independent album, which soon found its way into the hands of Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and his wife.

In 2000, the couple invited Bublé to sing at their daughter's wedding. At the event, he wowed the bride and her guests with Kurt Weil's performance of Mack the Knife.

During the celebrations, the singer was introduced to wedding guest David Foster, Grammy Award producer and music director for Warner Bros.

The following year, Foster signed Bublé to 143 Records and they began work on the singer's first major label release.

“We have always wanted and want to treat this music with the love and respect it deserves, but in the beginning it was important to capture the spirit and energy and it was not limited to any particular musical era.”

international star

In 2003, Bublé's first major album was released. The record of the same name was a worldwide success, peaking at number one in Australia, going multi-platinum in many countries, and reaching the top ten in the UK and Canada.

The debut album included Bublé's multifaceted talents, especially his ability to give pop to old classics such as Fever, Moondance and How can you repair a broken heart?.

A world tour followed, after which he ended 2003 with the Christmas tunes disc Let It Snow.

In 2004, at the age of 28, the singer officially entered the international music scene by winning Best New Talent at the prestigious Canadian Juno Awards.

His third release of the album Time (2005) was a success. It sold over 5 million copies worldwide and charted on the Billboard Jazz for two years.

The album's single Home was a fan favorite that Bublé wrote for Timuss' longtime love and featured her in the video as well as backing vocals. The song peaked at number 1 in over 10 countries and was the most played song on Canadian radio this year.

Continued success

Later that year, Thymuss and Bublé broke up amid rumors of his infidelity. Soon there were rumors that the breakup coincided with the emergence of a new relationship - an affair with British actress Emily Blunt.

The couple met backstage at an awards ceremony. Bublé later admitted that he didn't understand who she was at the time and thought she was a television producer.

Bublé's third album Call Me Irresponsible was released in 2007 and the album debuted at No. 3 on the Canadian charts. The album brought the singer his first Grammy win, winning Best Traditional Vocal Album. Critics and fans of Bublé sang his tracks, especially his track Lost (inspired by Timuss).

He reportedly wrote the track All for Blunt, but the couple broke up in July 2008. However, the inept romance did not prevent the musician from achieving success, and by the summer of that year, Bublé had sold more than 18 million albums worldwide.

In December 2008, Bublé broke into the sports world when he became a minority owner of the Vancouver Giants ice hockey team.

He also began to act in television projects, participating in the documentary "Music and the Brain" on Canadian television, where they discussed the scientific impact of music on human cognition.

He then recorded a special musical arrangement for a new episode of the popular American sitcom 30 Rock.

In October 2009, the singer released Crazy Love with duets with Sharon Jones and Ron Sexsmith, followed by a six-song album Special Delivery (2010) and Christmas (a holiday album with duets with Shania Twain and Mexican singer Thalia).

In 2013 they released To Be Loved, a mix of standard and pop songs including a duet with actress Reese Witherspoon.

He has also hosted music award ceremonies around the world, earning another US Grammy (2009), one Juno Award and five Juno nominations in Canada, a Brit Awards nomination, and an ECHO International Award nomination.

It has won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album four times (2007, 2009, 2010, 2013).

Personal life

After the relationship between Bublé and Emily Blunt ended in 2008, the singer began dating Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, whom he met at a party after a concert in Buenos Aires.

He wrote the song I Haven't Met You Yet for Lopilato and it also appeared in the music video. They got married on March 31, 2011 in Buenos Aires. Their son Noah was born on August 27, 2013 in Vancouver (Canada). On January 22, 2016, their second son, Elias, was born.

In June 2015, Noah was injured due to a fire at the couple's home in Argentina. He was treated and discharged from the hospital without surgery.

The following year, even more unfortunate happened - one of the boys was diagnosed with liver cancer. However, Noah's treatment went well and Bublé felt confident enough in his condition to return to the stage with a concert in Dublin, Ireland, in early July 2018.

At the end of the same month, the singer confirmed that his wife had given birth to their third child, daughter Vidu Amber Betty Bublé.
