The allegations arose from the December 2016 shooting in Carson, in which one person was killed and two seriously injured. He was facing life imprisonment. He denied guilt, insisting that he had anything to do with the fatal shooting.

In 2019, the rapper was acquitted at the Compton Courthouse. Despite this, the district attorney filed for a review of the gang conspiracy and car shooting charges in August. His trial date has been set for August 3, 2020. About this time period, the rapper said:

“My morning starts with what I do. Then I brush my teeth, go to school. Not that I like it, it just makes the day go by faster. Then I go to bed, talk on the phone sometimes, listen to beats, think about my art, read TMZ. Then I take a shower, I can read if I want, I write to the fans…”.

By the way, while in prison, he recorded Thank You for Using GTL. In November 2020, the rapper was released. The charges were dropped from him.
