Childhood and youth of Ivan Kuchin
Ivan Leonidovich Kuchin was born on March 13, 1959 on the territory of Petrovsk-Zabaikalsk. The parents of the future star were not associated with creativity.
My mother worked on the railroad, and my father worked at an automobile base. Little Vanya grew up as an ordinary child. As a child, he did not show significant interest in creativity and music.
Ivan studied well at school. After receiving the certificate, Vanya, together with a school friend, entered the Pedagogical College. The young man graduated from the art and graphic department.
Ivan has never been a bad guy, so no one could have imagined that he would "turn onto the road" of the underworld.
After graduating from a technical school, Ivan Kuchin spent several years in the army. The young man ended up in the Trans-Baikal garrison, not far from his native town.
After he repaid his debt to his homeland, he returned home and plunged headlong into the underworld. In the mid-1970s, Ivan Kuchin received his first term for the theft of state property.
In an interview, Kuchin said that he was having a hard time with the first arrest. Most of all, he was traumatized by the fact that he was locked up 24 hours a day.
However, this situation taught Ivan nothing. Having been released, he took up the old, and therefore, until 1993, Kuchin was a permanent resident of places of detention.
When the term was coming to an end, Kuchin became aware that the person dearest to him, his mother, had died. He blamed himself for all the sins, until now he blames himself for not being able to save his mother from death.
Kuchin did not attend the funeral. While in prison, he promised himself that this was the last arrest. After Ivan was released, he kept his word.
In his hometown Kuchin knew every second person. Everyone took him for a criminal and a thief. They refused to hire him. The man made a difficult decision for himself - he moved to Moscow.
The creative path and music of Ivan Kuchin
Ivan Kuchin began writing his first poems while still in prison. The debut track called "Crystal Vase" was released in 1985. After 10 years, this composition was included in the artist's album.
“Crystal Vase” is a composition that has a certain message. Ivan Kuchin borrowed her plot from a conversation with an elderly prisoner. An elderly prisoner was behind bars during the reign of Stalin.
A little later, Ivan wrote a few more poems, which he dedicated to the prisoner. Poems miraculously survived. All records were burned during the search.
The first collection was released in 1987. We are talking about a disc with a symbolic name for the author "Return Home". Unfortunately, Kuchin failed to publish the collection, as the tape with the recordings was confiscated and destroyed.
Later, the disc still hit the people. Kuchin's acquaintances contributed to this. Among these acquaintances were policemen who saw a certain talent in Ivan.
Among the first fans there were rumors that the author of the compositions was the legendary Alexander Novikov.
Moving Ivan Kuchin to Moscow
Having moved to the capital of Russia, Kuchin released two collections at once. Recording of musical compositions was carried out in the recording studio "Marathon". These records were called "New Camp Lyrics" and "The Years Are Flying".
The second collection included a track that later became Kuchin's calling card. We are talking about the musical composition "Man in a quilted jacket".
Ivan's tracks were distributed throughout Russia, and even managed to go beyond the borders of their native country. Siberian businessmen were pleasantly surprised by Kuchin's creativity. They offered to sponsor the recording of the third album, The Fate of Thieves.
The “golden” songs of the album were the tracks: “And the violin is crying quietly in the tavern”, “Lilacs are blooming”, “Years will pass” and “White Swan”.
Literally in a year, several million copies of the third album were released. At the same time, Kuchin's first video clip "White Swan" was released. In this period, in fact, was the peak of the popularity of the chansonnier. After gaining popularity, Ivan Kuchin, he caught a moment of glory.
In the wake of the demand for musical compositions, the chansonnier released several more albums: “Forbidden Zone” and “Chicago”, which included the tracks: “Sentimental Detective”, “Sweetheart”, “Gangster Knife”, “Rowan Bush”.
Kuchin's popularity
In 1998, the artist's discography was replenished with the brilliant album "Cross Print". During this period of time, Kuchin actively toured Russia. In every corner of the country he was accepted as "native".
Creativity turned the life of Ivan Kuchin "upside down". They say about such people "from rags to riches." Along with popularity, the man gained financial independence. Soon he became the owner of real estate in Moscow.
In 2001, Kuchin presented the album "Tsar Father" - this is the first collection in which there are no prison themes.

Receiving an order by an artist

Despite this minor nuance, fans warmly received the collection. In 2004, the album "Cruel Romance" appeared with the songs: "Talyanka", "Friend", "Night".
And then there was a break for 8 years. The next studio album was released only in 2012. The new studio album was called "Heavenly Flowers". In one of his interviews, Kuchin compared the compositions of this album with expensive and collectible wines.
Ivan explained the long period of release of the collection by the fact that he works independently, and not under the wing of a producer. He collected money for recording the album through active touring.
The musical compositions "Verba", "Hedgehog", "Caravan", as well as a video clip for the song "Pacific Ocean" from the album of the late 1990s, became a real asset in 2012.
Three years later, Ivan Kuchin presented the ninth studio album, which was called "The Orphan's Share". A music video was released for the track of the same name.
The personal life of an artist
He met his future wife Larisa in his homeland back in the mid-1990s. Ivan invited the woman to become his wife, and she agreed.
Kuchin helped Larisa realize herself as a singer. He wrote several tracks for her, which were included in the debut album "The Twig Broke".
Ivan Kuchin was crazy about a woman, but she did not appreciate his love and devotion and betrayed the man. He was very upset by his wife's betrayal - he was depressed for a long time, lost his taste for life, did not even want to write songs.
About this period of life, he wrote the musical composition "Sing, Guitar", which was included in the album "Rowan By the Road".
Due to the divorce, Ivan had many problems that only aggravated the difficult mental situation. Sister Elena came to help Kuchin. For a long time, brother and sister did not communicate, and even were enemies.
Soon the Kuchins acquired a joint mansion, away from Moscow. Ivan set up his own recording studio in the house. In addition to music, Kuchin was engaged in agriculture.
Since the early 2000s, Elena Kuchina has been the director of the chansonnier. Despite strife and scandals, the brother and sister found strength and wisdom in themselves, which helped them maintain warm family relationships.
Ivan Kuchin today
Ivan Kuchin leads the life of a "hermit". He very rarely communicates with colleagues in the "workshop", in principle he does not want to pay television channels for his performances.
A talented person does not need PR, Kuchin believes. Performances by Ivan Kuchin, which he himself called "Meetings with friends", were monthly. His concerts are quite intimate.
Ivan was happy to communicate with fans - he answered questions, pleased with the performance of new and old tracks, and also shared plans for the future.
In 2018, the chansonnier presented the disc "Military Album". On the cover of the collection was a portrait of Kuchin. The most vile tracks of the album were the songs: "Landing", "Thumbelina", "Afghan", "Soldier", "My Beloved".
In 2019, several new video clips appeared. Chansonnier performed a lot, and even delighted the listeners of Chanson radio with a live performance of his favorite compositions.
So far, the "Military Album" is considered the last collection of Kuchin. But who knows, perhaps 2020 will be the year of the artist's new album.
