After receiving a matriculation certificate - Theon went to conquer the harsh capital of Russia - Moscow. She set herself the goal of entering Gnesinka. She managed to make her dream come true. By the way, she dreamed of a completely mundane profession - a conductor, but she became a student at the faculty of pop-jazz vocals.
For the first few years, she yearned for Tbilisi. The girl could not get used to foreign traditions and mentality for a long time, but over time she softened in relation to the new country. In other words, she "thawed out."
The artist received frantic pleasure from classes at a prestigious educational institution. By the way, "Gnesinka" was located not far from the "Jazz Cafe". The institution gathered musicians and singers who demonstrated their best skills and talents.
Theon Kontridze's creative path
After graduating from an educational institution, she was among the artists who took part in the work on the musical "Metro". Sergei Voronov (a member of the Muz-Mobil team) helped Theona get to the audition.
The artist was very worried. She refused to take part in the offline audition, citing poor health, but left her recordings. The singer made an appointment again.
As a result, Theona's "honey" voice finally captivated the composer Janusz Stokloss. She was enrolled in the troupe. She worked under a contract, which allowed her to solve a number of financial issues.
When the contract ended, Theon was a little confused. First, she began to worry about her creative future. And secondly, she did not understand in which direction to move on. Mom came to the rescue, who advised her daughter to create her own project.
At that time, she did not have enough funds to create her own group. She could not afford to hire musicians, so she took the position of bass player and drummer in the project, reproducing melodies with her voice. She uses her style and technique to this day.

In the late 90s, she formed a jazz quartet. The band members at first were content with performing at small, unprofessional venues, such as cafes and restaurants. Some time later, she received an offer to take part in the musical project of the Gallery restaurant in the company of a pianist and saxophonist. This provided a number of other commercial activities.
In her later interviews, the artist said that it is extremely important for her to maintain a “spiritual atmosphere” at her performances, so that everyone who attends her performance can learn something really useful for their soul.
Kontridze is still a member of the team, which she founded at the end of the 90s. During this period of time, the composition of the group has changed several times, but the unsurpassed Theona stands at the microphone, who understands what real jazz is and is ready to share her experience with music lovers.
