The name of the group is a mini-hint of the name of the soloists of the group. The surname of the first Masha is Zaitsev. Before the creation of the group, she was already familiar to the audience as a participant in the musical projects "Voice" and "People's Artist".

After participating in projects, the girl was taken to the Assorti group. Maria worked in the team for a long time, she was even happy with the conditions.
But it all ended when the producers introduced a new condition into the contract - a ban on marriage and the birth of children. Having worked until the end of the old contract, Masha left the Assorti group.
Then Maria created a new project NAOMI In 2009, the girl married Alexei Goman. Four years later, the couple had a daughter, who was named Sasha.
According to Zaitseva, it is very difficult to combine work and motherhood. The parents and husband helped the girl to stay afloat. By the way, a year after the birth of the baby, Masha and Lyosha filed for divorce.
Despite the fact that they have not been a couple for a long time, the guys manage to maintain friendly relations. The second member of the duet is called Masha Sheikh.
She studied at the Faculty of Law, rapped in her free time and dreamed of singing on stage.
Masha started talking in Thailand in 2016. At first, the girls just became friends, then they found out that they had common plans, and, in fact, they decided to create a duet.
First popularity
The girls received their first "portion" of popularity after the presentation of the musical composition "Now there are two of us." The track appeared quite by accident. The beat of the song was recorded by a friend of Masha Zaitseva - Alexander Dedov.
Having come up with a suitable text for it, Zaitseva postponed the resulting template until a suitable occasion. Already after meeting the second Masha, Zaitseva showed an operating time.
Girls love to joke that the group was created right in Zaitseva's kitchen. The soloists of the group even have an archival home video in which they sing their favorite track to everyone.
Initially, the girls did not plan to work together for a long time. The girls just wanted to introduce the music lovers to the new track.
However, the listeners liked the song so much that they wrote flattering reviews and likes. Masha realized that they needed to move on. The listeners begged Zaitseva and Sheikh to continue singing together. The girls accepted the challenge.
The team "#2Masha" from the moment of its creation was only six months old, and they already performed in the prestigious Moscow club "16 tons". Hundreds of spectators came to the performance of the girls.
The duet assumed that their concert would gather a maximum of 100 people, but what was the surprise of the girls when they saw that all the places, and there were 500 of them, were occupied.
