Childhood and youth of Alexander Marshal

Alexander Minkov (the real name of the star) was born on June 7, 1957 in the provincial town of Korenovsk, Krasnodar Region. Little Sasha's parents were not connected with art. My father worked as a military pilot, my mother worked as a dentist.

At the age of 7, Alexander went to two schools at once - general education and music. In the musical, little Sasha learned to play the piano. Since my father was in the military, their family moved frequently. Soon the head of the family moved his wife and son to Tikhoretsk.

At a young age, Alexander was able to decide on a hobby. Soon he had a guitar in his hands. The boy independently mastered playing the instrument, picked up chords, and later began to compose musical works.

“The biggest tragedy of my childhood was the day when my mother broke the guitar for disobedience. I was very angry, but with age I realized that parents need to be respected ... ”, recalls Alexander Marshal.

In the mid-1970s, Alexander Minkov entered the aviation school. He was constantly torn between music and the desire to become a pilot. Being at a more conscious age, the young man decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, who built a good career. The marshal wanted to get the specialty "Combat Command Navigator".

An interesting story with the origin of the creative pseudonym "Marshal". Alexander received such an interesting nickname while studying at an aviation school. Among his fellow students, the strong and lively Alexander was associated with the marshal (the military rank of the highest general staff).

After entering the educational institution, Marshal took up the fact that he created his own group. At that time, Alexander managed everything: to study well at the school and play in a team. A few years later, the young man realized that he was more interested in music and art.

Leaving the army and educational institution is a serious step, therefore, before taking it, Marshal consulted with his father. There was a scandal. The father convinced his son to stay for another year. Alexander listened to the advice of the head of the family.

After the end of the service, Alexander Marshal "set off in all serious ways." He did what he loves - music. But here a problem arose - dad refused to help his son financially. At first, the young man took on any job. He had no intention of leaving music.

Music and the creative path of Alexander Marshal

Alexander Marshal's first attempts to conquer Moscow began in the early 1980s. The young man saw an ad that the band needed a bass player. He knew it was time to take risks. After listening to Marshall, they approved the role of bass player.

He was very lucky, because he got into a popular Moscow rock band. The guys played foreign tracks. Alexander's dream finally came true, he was doing what he loved.

Soon Alexander began to cooperate with the concert hall "Moskontsert". In the same period of time, the groups "Araks" and "Flowers" by Stas Namin appeared. Marshal gradually walked towards his goal.

The idea of creating a musical rock band that would appeal to Western music lovers came from a colleague Alexander Belov. The musician was skeptical about this plan.

Despite the fact that not everyone approved the idea of Alexander Belov, the team was created. The group, which (according to Belov's plans) was supposed to conquer the West, was named Gorky Park. Already in 1987, the new team and Marshal went on tour to the United States of America.

In autumn, the first concert of the Gorky Park group took place. To show themselves from the best side, before the concert, the musicians released a bright video clip, which was shown on the Don King Show.

Initially, the musicians planned that the tour would last no more than 90 days. Despite this, the team stayed in the United States for five years. When the group returned to their homeland, they were greeted with a standing ovation. The Gorky Park group was already a legend in the early 1990s.

Upon arrival in Russia, Nikolai Noskov announced his resignation. He wanted to pursue a solo career. His place was destined to take Alexander Marshal. The singer was part of the team until 1999.

In 1999, Alexander Marshal left the group with the words: "The team has exhausted itself ...". But in fact, the singer has long dreamed of a solo career. When he realized that he had “grown up” to this, he peacefully left the rock band.
