Andrey Kartavtsev was born on January 21, 1972 in Omsk, in an ordinary average family. His father worked as a milling machine operator, and his mother worked as an accountant. Parents laid down the right moral values, which Andrey carried into adulthood.
The fact that Andrei had a beautiful voice became clear at the age of 5. Then the boy was entrusted to perform a song at the matinee. The teacher spent a long time learning the song with the boy.

At the age of 10, the boy found a broken electric guitar in a landfill. Andrey liked the instrument outwardly, and he brought it home.
The father helped to repair the guitar, after which the son picked up songs on the instrument by ear and began to compose the first compositions on his own.
By the way, Andrey's second attempt to perform on the big stage was also not successful. The young man was invited to the school ensemble to perform the composition at the last bell ceremony. Andrey rehearsed for more than 5 months.
The performance was not very successful. The boy was too worried because of the presence of the headmaster at the ceremony. A little later, Andrei took part in the Talents of Siberia festival, where he won a prize.
Andrei studied well at school. The young man had a penchant for the exact sciences. In his spare time, he continued to play musical instruments and compose lyrics to his melodies.
After receiving the certificate, Andrey became a student of the motor transport technical school. The young man read the ad for a vocal and instrumental ensemble.
When the young man performed the composition “The Old Mill” by Igor Nikolaev in front of the commission, he was immediately made a soloist.

Between 1993 and 2007 Andrei became the founder of several musical groups at once. We are talking about the Azbuka Lyubov and Admiral MS groups, as well as the VersiA vocal and instrumental studio.
In 2008, Andrei sent an email to his idol and stage colleague Yuri Shatunov. The young man attached another of his own compositions to the letter.
The star of the group "Tender May" liked Kartavtsev's song, and soon he contacted Andrey. When Yuri visited Omsk, he invited Andrei to talk backstage.
Soon, communication grew into friendship, and Yuri began to collaborate with a performer that was still little known to a wide circle.
Andrey wrote for Yuri such compositions as “A summer of color”, “I don’t want”, “Trains”, “Classmates”. 7 songs from Shatunov's 2012 album "I Believe" were written by Andrey Kartavtsev.
Andrey's musical compositions instantly became hits. During his work on stage, he has already studied the tastes of music lovers. Kartavtsev's tracks fell into the heart not only of fans, but also of people who are far from the singer's works.
Andrei did not stop collaborating with Yuri Shatunov, and meanwhile in 2014 he declared himself as a solo artist. The most popular then were musical compositions: “Leaves are spinning”, “Let them talk”, “Deceiver”.
