History of creation and composition

Vladimir Zhechkov in 1997 became the founder of the White Eagle musical group. In addition to being actively interested in the music industry, he also combined the role of a small entrepreneur.

Prior to starting his musical career, Vladimir Zhechkov worked at the prestigious Ostankino television studio.

In 1991, a young entrepreneur became the founder of a Moscow marketing agency.

Given the information vacuum in the advertising sector in the USSR during the period of collapse, Zhechkov became a fairly successful businessman, quickly mastering a new niche.

When Vladimir was asked if the White Eagle was his marketing ploy, he replied: “I absolutely did not bet on profit. Most likely, the White Eagle is my own whim. But, you must admit that our tracks are real art, ”Zhechkov answered without modesty in his voice.

Vladimir thought for a long time about how to name his musical group. But, fortunately, he already had PR experience, so the name "White Eagle" was more appropriate than ever.

It seemed to the entrepreneur that the name of the group was sincere and with a certain sense of humor.

During the birth of a new musical group, Zhechkov orders a big PR campaign, which was aimed at promoting an unknown group.

A marketing agency is finishing an advertising campaign for a brand of vodka called "White Eagle", the video for which was developed by Russian director, academician Yuri Vyacheslavovich Grymov.

Thanks to the talent of the Russian director, the name "White Eagle" literally ingrained itself in the heads of the audience. That is how Vladimir Zhechkov chose the correct name.

During the first two years, Vladimir acts as the main soloist of the musical group.

Vladimir had a very velvety and beautiful voice timbre. The musical compositions “How delightful evenings are in Russia” and “Because you can’t be beautiful like that” bring the first admirers to the White Eagle.

Zhechkov said that he was unable to sing a single song. His voice was processed. Those who collaborated with the soloist told stories about how Vladimir appeared at a rehearsal in a state of intoxication.

It was clear that he was not serious about his work and the musical group.

But, one way or another, musical compositions performed by Vladimir Zhechkov received a prestigious status.

Interestingly, the song musical composition "How delightful evenings in Russia" got into the Guinness Book of Records for "the most massive collective performance."

Zhechkov did not deny that participation in the White Eagle was the usual satisfaction of his whim.

In 1999, he leaves the musical group. The soloist of the group was now Mikhail Faybushevich. But, and, Mikhail did not last long in the group. A year later, Faybushevich leaves the White Eagle.

In 2000, the charismatic theater and film actor Leonid Lyutvinsky replaced the previous soloists.

Music critics note that with the advent of Leonid, the White Eagle literally comes to life and "takes off".

Lyutvinsky was not too lazy to develop a musical group, which allowed the group to achieve some recognition and success.

Fans and journalists were also delighted with the new soloist of the White Eagle Leonid. He was an extremely non-confrontational performer. Lyutvinsky could easily give an interview, chat with his fans on the street, or come to a photo shoot. However, he did not last long in the group.

In 2006, Leonid decided to leave the musical group and go into cinematography.

By the time Leonid left the White Eagle team, Zhechkov already lived far outside the Russian Federation.

In addition, Vladimir experienced a personal tragedy. The fact is that his only daughter, Nadezhda, died in a car accident.

He was literally on the verge of suicide. In order not to commit suicide, Zhechkov was saved by his wife. The biography of Vladimir could no longer be the same, but he continued to be the head of the musical group.

Alexander Yagya - took the place of Leonid in 2006. He not only was the main vocalist, but also played the saxophone.

In the period from 1999 to 2000, constant internal changes took place in the composition of the musical group: 11 people, starting with the music director and sound engineer and ending with guitarists and backing vocalists, came and then left the group.

In 2010, Andrey Khramov, the ex-vocalist of the Zemlyane band, joined the group, but in 2016 he chose the latter option between the White Eagle and his solo musical career.

Music of the group White Eagle

Initially, Vladimir Zhechkov planned that the White Eagle group would "make" music in the chanson style.

As the band's popularity grew, their repertoire also began to expand. Now, in the tracks of the musical group, one could hear compositions in the style of pop.

The presentation of the musical group White Eagle took place in 1997. However, fans were able to get acquainted with the group in 1999 on one of the programs of Channel One.

Until 1999, fans of the White Eagle did not know who owns the beautiful, velvety voice of the soloist. By the way, such secrecy was thought out by Zhechkov. He wanted to envelop the White Eagle team with a veil of invisibility.

Such secrecy of the group only attracted music lovers who were eager to see their idols. The first few years of the group's existence, about 9 video clips were created for the tracks

White Eagle. The video was recorded for the musical compositions "I'm losing you", "And I remember you", "I miss you", "I'll buy you a new life" and others.

Some clips were filmed in the style of a parody, repeating the plots and visual techniques of George Michael's clip makers, Roxette. Later, the White Eagle group was accused of plagiarism. But, this only added to the interest in the young performer.

In the history of the musical group, the first few years were a time of creative upsurge.

The White Eagle was able to declare itself as a "solid" group. But, despite the growing popularity, the musical compositions of the guys do not fall into the music charts.

The songs of the White Eagle become "folk" songs.

In 1999, Vladimir first hits the eyes of millions of viewers. He sings several hits at a concert dedicated to the celebration of the New Year.

The concert is broadcast on one of the federal channels of Russia. This year has become the most "trump card" in the creative history of the White Eagle. Immediately after the concert, the White Eagle goes on a big tour.

After a resounding success, Vladimir Zhechkov announced that he was leaving the musical group. His place is taken by Leonidas. Zhechkov, left the stage, but did not leave the music industry.

The second video clip was dedicated to the tragedy that took place in New York. The musical composition was created in one breath and was dedicated to military operations.

In 2005, the musicians presented the collection "I Sing What I Want". The records included such hits as "Rain over Casablanca", "My Good", "When You Come Back".

For about 4 years, Alexander Yagya was the vocalist of the White Eagle. The fans of the White Eagle's work remembered the young performer for the performance of the track "I thought you were happy" (the full title is "And I thought you were happy").

In addition, Alexander worked on recording the album "How We Love". It should be noted that the number of video clips has also increased to 19 thanks to the videos "Rain washes away all traces", "Holy, proud, beautiful", "Unique".

In 2010, there was a scandal involving Alexander Yagya. The fact is that he performed solo with the repertoire of the White Eagle. This moment was not spelled out in the contract, so, of course, the management was dissatisfied with the course of events.

Incidents about the fact that the White Eagle performs compositions for which the soloists do not have copyrights revolve around the musical group from time to time.

In addition, the group has achieved significant success, collecting a number of prestigious music awards. The repertoire of the musical group includes about 200 songs.
