The musicians of the Bomba Estéreo collective treat the culture of their native country with special love. They create music that consists of modern motives and traditional music. History of creation and composition
The history of the formation of the Colombian group dates back to 2000. The idea of creating a team belongs to Simon Mejia, who at that time was part of the association of free singers AM 770. The association's tracks were a "delicious" platter, which consisted of traditional Colombian motifs, electronic and modern sound.
In 2005, all members left the association. Simon was left alone. He decided that it was time to change something, so he renamed his brainchild to Bomba Estéreo. Then he began to collaborate with other musicians. His plans included the release of a full-length album.
Through the efforts of Simon, the disc came to light. The collection was called Volumen 1. The LP was well received by music critics. This allowed the team to sign a contract with two prestigious labels at once - Nacional and Polen Records.
Liliana (Lee) Saumet - became one of the most memorable singers at the stage of recording her debut LP. Her voice captivated music lovers. The "father" of the team had no chance - he made her an offer to become a permanent member of the team. Then another three musicians joined the line-up: Diego Cadavid, Quique Egurrola and Julián Salazar.
The creative path and music of Bomba Estereo
In 2008, Estalla premiered in 2008. The collection was incredibly warmly received by fans. This inspired the musicians to re-record the LP. It came out under the name Blow Up. The updated collection includes the track Fuego.
The musicians hoped to conquer foreign audiences. The work of the guys was rewarded, because during this period of time they received the title of the best world team from MTV. The new composition, which was included in the updated collection, became the best track in the repertoire of the Colombian group.
Then the guys took part in the prestigious Pioneer Sessions event. The purpose of this project is to record popular tracks of the last century. The team opted for Pump Up The Jam by Technotronic. Soon the musicians presented the work Ponte Bomb, which was warmly received by the fans. The group then embarked on a world tour.
New works
In 2012, the guys pleased the fans of their work with the presentation of the third LP. We are talking about the record Elegancia Tropical. Note that the compilation was produced by Joel Hamilton. The musicians supported the collection with tours of Colombia and America, and then signed a contract with Sony Music. Then they announced that they were working closely on a new studio album.
The guys did not disappoint the expectations of the "fans". Soon their discography grew by one more LP. The band's new record is called Amanecer. The album topped the music chart. In support of the record, the musicians went on another tour, during which they visited 12 countries.
After that, the musicians slowed down a bit. In 2017, the presentation of the collection Ayo took place. Soon fans learned about the departure of their pet. The fact is that the team left Julian Salazar.
Siembra's composition, which was included in the list of the new LP, was written specifically to make people think about saving the environment.
Another important fact: musicians themselves write music and words.
