History of creation and composition of the Butyrka team
The history of the Butyrka group dates back to 1998. In 1998, Vladimir Zhdamirov and Oleg Simonov create a musical group, which is called Far Light. Some time later, the guys recorded their first studio album, which was called "Presylochka". In this composition, the group lasted for three years.
In 2001, Vladimir Zhdamirov and Oleg Simonov met the producer of Russian Chanson, Alexander Abramov. The singers and performer decided to create a new group, which was called Butyrka. The performers sang their songs in the chanson musical genre, so when it came to choosing a name for the new group, the producer suggested naming the Butyrka team. In 2001, several prisoners daringly escaped from Butyrka prison.
Throughout the existence of the musical group, the composition of the group has constantly changed. Of those who appeared in the Butyrka team, only Oleg Simonov remained, who played the guitar and bass player Alexander Goloshchapov, in 2010 he left the group, but returned 3 years later.
Until 2006, drummer Tagir Alyautdinov and guitarist Alexander Kalugin played in the musical group. The second guitarist Egorov worked in the band from 2006 to 2009. Bass guitarist Anton Smotrakov - from 2010 to 2013.
Changes in the composition of the group
The founder and leader of Butyrka, Vladimir Zhdamirov, left the group in early 2013. This was a real shock for fans of the musical group. Most of the fans were automatically "weeded out" after the departure of Vladimir. It was Zhdamirov who set the "tone" for the group. For fans, this event was a real disappointment.

Over the many years of Butyrka's existence, fans have already gotten used to Vladimir Zhdamirov, so Bykov's voice seemed too lyrical for many, as for such a musical genre as chanson.
First steps with new members
The first concerts with the participation of Andrei Bykov were a failure. Fans who paid a lot of money for the concert wanted to hear the voice of only one singer - Vladimir Zhdamirov. Yes, and Vladimir himself has repeatedly admitted to reporters that he is not enthusiastic about Bykov's vocals. A little more time will pass, and the fans will finally accept the new vocalist, and the concerts will again collect a full house.
Andrey Bykov became a member of Butyrka "by acquaintance". He had been good friends with Oleg Simonov for many years, and he recommended him to the producer. When Vladimir left the group, Oleg gave him an audition, and the producer decided to give the man a chance to take the place of the vocalist of the musical group.
Andrey Bykov shared with journalists that the first couple of years as part of Butyrka were very difficult. But he was not going to give up, realizing that with his vocal abilities he was perfect for performing Butyrka's songs.
Andrey Bykov has no criminal past behind him. The performer comes from the Perm region. For a long time he earned his living by singing in restaurants and at festive events.

In 2004, the third album "Vestochka" was released. Fans of Butyrka's work had not yet had time to enjoy the third album, when the musicians presented the fourth disc, called "Icon".

In 2009, Butyrka pleases fans with his "Sixth Album". For fans of the musical group, a huge disappointment is that this album includes only a few new tracks. "The Sixth Album" was the last album that was released under the contract with Russian Chanson.
Breaking cooperation with the producer
Butyrka did not renew the contract with her old producer. The leaders of the group decided that from now on Butyrka goes into free swimming. Since then, the guys have been recording albums on their own.

The beginning of 2018 was marked by the fact that the musical group presented the track “They Fly Away”. Later, a video was released on the band's official page. The musical composition "They are flying away" is dedicated to their countryman Roman Filipov. Roman was a military pilot. While performing military duties in Syria, the man died.
Music critics and ordinary fans noted that the song "They Fly Away" sounds in a non-standard manner for Bykov to perform musical compositions. The track contained notes of mourning, lyrics and regret. This song is somewhat different from the work of the musical group.
Tour and new album of the Butyrka group
In 2018, Butyrka went on tour. The musicians spent the summer on the coast of the Krasnodar Territory. In addition, the group performed in Moscow, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and in April - in Rostov-on-Don, Novocherkassk and Taganrog.
