Dima Bilan is an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, singer, songwriter, composer and film actor.
The real name of the artist, given at birth, is only slightly different from the stage name. The real name of the performer is Belan Viktor Nikolaevich. The surname differs in only one letter. This may at first be mistaken for a typo. The name Dima is the name of his grandfather, whom he loved madly.
Officially, since 2008, the pseudonym (Dima Bilan) has become the real name of the artist in the passport. The artist currently performs under his own name.
Dima Bilan's childhood
Dima was born on December 24, 1981 in the small Russian town of Ust-Dzheguta, in the family of a design engineer and social worker.
Dima is not the only child in the family. Elena (older sister) is a designer, creator of the BELAN brand. Anna (14 years younger) lives in Los Angeles, where she studies to be a director.
He is madly in love with his family, expressing his love with gifts. The parents have three apartments at their disposal, which Dima gave as a sign of his love. He also gave his older sister an apartment and a car. He also did not deprive his younger sister. Dima's uncle is a person close to him, and he gave him not only a car, but also a plot of land in the Moscow region.
As a child, the family moved frequently. Dima lived both in Naberezhnye Chelny and in the city of Maisky. There he graduated from High School No. 2 and moved to High School No. 14.
In the 5th grade, he entered a music school, accordion class. Then he regularly took part in music festivals and competitions, taking places of honor and diplomas.

In the same year, Dima Bilan presented his second studio album "On the Shore of the Sky". The album includes 18 songs, 3 of which are in English. Subsequently, the song of the same name "On the Shore of the Sky", which has a video clip, became a hit and the main single of the album.
In the same year, after the release of the Russian-language album, Dima began work on his debut English-language album. Together with him, American composer Diane Warren and American performer Sean Escoffery worked on the collection.
