The beginning of the group's journey

Back in 2007, thanks to the efforts of such musicians as: Love Magnusson and Jon Berg, the Swedish power metal band Dynazty appeared in Stockholm.

Soon new musicians joined the band: George Harnsten Egg (drums) and Joel Fox Appelgren (bass).

The only thing missing was a soloist. At first, the group invited various singers to their performances. And only a year later the guys managed to find the right person. The service My Space helped to solve the problem. The empty place of the vocalist was successfully filled by the singer Nils Molin.

Creative search for the Dynasty team

The band made their debut on Perris Records with Bring the Thunder, produced by Chris Laney. The first album was recorded in the hard and heavy style of the 1980s and received public acclaim.

Since that time the band started touring in Sweden and other countries. A few years later, with only one guitarist, Dynazty changed producers and recorded their new album Knock You Down at Storm Vox Studios.

In 2011-2012 the team tried to succeed at the Eurovision Song Contest with the compositions This is My Life and Land of Broken Dreams. With the second song, they made it to the second round, but did not make it to the final. It was not possible to conquer European television in this way.

The group's third album, Sultans of Sin, appeared in 2012. Its promotional track was released in Japan as Madness. During this period, guitarist Mike Laver joined Dynazty, and Peter Tegtgren produced the project. It was thanks to his insistence that the band's musicians moved away from retro-hard to a more modern sound.

As it turned out, not in vain - the team got into the top 10 best musical groups in Sweden and enjoyed considerable success during performances in China.

At the end of 2012, Dynazty entered into an agreement with the record company Spinefarm Records and recruited a new bass player, Jonathan Olsson.

2013 was marked by the release of the fourth disc Renatus ("Renaissance"), the name of which fully corresponded to the changes that had taken place in the group's performance style.

Dynazty style changes

The album was produced by vocalist Niels Molin. The group finally moved away from hard rock towards power. It cannot be said that the entire audience immediately took this change favorably, but the musicians did not abandon their decision to develop in a new direction, especially since many devoted fans reacted positively to the change in style.

Niels Molin believes that the new direction of creativity allowed experimenting, creating freely, creating something new and expressing the current mood. According to the soloist of the group, the change of style is not a commercial operation to achieve the greatest success, it's just the dictates of the soul.

After many months of work in the recording studios Abyss and SOR, in 2016 another creation of the Tinanic Mass band was released. The album consisted of various compositions, ranging from hard rock to ballads.

The musicians of the Dynazty group have a specific approach to the sound of their songs, clearly realizing what they want to get as a result. The recording process of Tinanic Mass was completely handled by sound engineer Thomas Pleck Johansson, whose work everyone was satisfied with.

Before the release of the new album, Dynazty signed a contract with the German studio Records. The musicians believed that it was AFM, like no one else, who understood how the group should be presented to the world.

Firesign's latest sixth album with a fantastic cover by designer Gustavo Sazes was released in 2018. Critics consider it one of the best works of the band's musicians in the melodic modern metal style.

Dynazty today

Interest in the work of the group has increased by the fact that soloist Nils Molin participated in another popular group, AMARANTHE.

Niels himself does not believe that by combining work in two musical groups, he reduces the popularity of the Dynazty group. According to him, this group deserves worldwide fame, and he does everything for it that is necessary.

In particular, he wrote most of the lyrics for the band, drawing inspiration and emotions from his own life experiences. In the process of creating compositions, melodies are improved and acquire a unique sound.

Today, the band in their performances focuses on compositions from the last three albums, which most fully express their current mood, although old songs are often played at concerts, such as: Raise Your Hands or This Is My Life.
