The Frukty team are musicians from the cultural capital of the Russian Federation. Recognition and fame came to the group members after they appeared in the Evening Urgant program, and in the end they became an integral part of the entertainment show. The task of the musicians was reduced to creating unique beats and covers of top songs.
History of creation and composition of the group
The team "Fruits" appeared on the stage by accident. It all started with the fact that they got on the show "Evening Urgant". With the growing popularity of the project itself, the interest in the St. Petersburg group also increased. It is important to note that today the spectators are watching the game of the second line-up of the Frukta team.
The first composition of the team was led by exceptional musicians. Graduates did not work well with the "mother" of the group, Alexandra Dahl, so she decided to refuse the services of professional musicians.
A little time will pass and Alexandra will assemble a new composition of the Fruits. It is noteworthy that the new composition of the group included old acquaintances Dahl. Today the group is led by seven musicians. The permanent Sasha Dal remains the ideological inspirer, leader and vocalist of the Fruits.
Rarely is Mimi at the microphone. From time to time the microphone will fall into the hands of Lyosha Yelesin, who is used to holding an acoustic guitar in his hands. In addition, the group includes bassist Kostya Ionochkin and saxophonist Koleshonok. Misha Popov plays the accordion and Diego is responsible for the sound effects.
The well-coordinated work of the group is the merit of Dahl. Alexandra has been interested in music since early childhood. She gathered her first team in her teens. The musicians played acoustic. The highlight of the team was that they did not use technical equipment. And it cost a lot.
The team began by performing at the prestigious Probka Family restaurant. The musicians delighted the audience with an ideal and unusual sound. Soon rumors about talented musicians spread. They began to talk about them in other cities. The guys began to be invited to corporate parties.
New stage
At parties, the musicians of "Fruit" intersected with the popular TV presenter Ivan Urgant. In addition, then they did not yet suspect that they would be connected by cooperation.
After some time, the team began to communicate more closely with the star. After Urgant got acquainted with the work of artists, he offered the guys a profitable cooperation. It was after the musicians appeared in the Evening Urgant show that completely different prospects opened up before them. The ensemble members managed to get acquainted with popular Russian pop artists.
The musicians did not limit themselves to participation in "Evening Urgant". They became laureates of the prestigious New Wave 2013 competition. Unfortunately, they failed to take first place. A year later, they were nominated for the Muz-TV-2014 television award. Evolution".
The year 2015 turned out to be just as successful for the musicians. This year, the presentation of the bright video clip "Bali" took place, directed by the same Alexandra Dahl.
Music group Frukty
The moment the band appeared on the stage gave rise to a lot of rumors. Some sources indicated that "Fruits" is a protégé of Sergei Shnurov. The band members really communicated and collaborated with the artist, but denied any speculation regarding patronage.
Soon the presentation of the new composition "Fruits" took place, in the recording of which Cord took part. We are talking about the track "Russian Rock". A video clip was also filmed for the song. It turned out to be colorful, although it was filmed using improvised means. This move only added fuel to the fire.
It was after the presentation of this composition that Ivan Urgant drew attention to the members of the team. Then, he was just in search of a band whose sound would be perfect for the style of his show. Hearing what they were doing and how the guys were singing, he realized that “Fruits” was exactly what he was looking for.
The musicians tried to please Urgant. They demonstrated the mastery of improvisation and trendy sound. It was in search of these qualities that Ivan was. The team is distinguished by a modern vision of compositions familiar to the public. In addition, the musicians are not deprived of a sense of humor, which is very important for the Evening Urgant project.
Despite the fact that the guys delighted the audience with the perfect sound of their long-favorite tracks, they were in no hurry to release their debut LP. It is noteworthy that the band members recorded solo records, but apparently the guys did not succeed in creating a joint LP "Fruits". Only in 2013 they presented the collection "Harvest 11-12". It was released on CD.
They have a record, which includes both covers and original tracks. The only thing is, the issue of the album turned out to be a whole problem. It's all about copyright. Musicians can play recognizable music at closed events or concerts as remakes, but, alas, they do not have the rights to distribute collections.
Group Feature
At the time of the birth of the team, the main rule for the whole team was to play exclusively live, without the use of a phonogram. Surprisingly, the guys never changed this rule. Each performance of "Fruits" takes place live.
For each guest of the Evening Urgant show, the group members choose a song. At the stage of selection, they are guided by the profession, character and autobiographical features of the guest. Celebrities do not hide the fact that participation in "Evening Urgant" opened up completely different opportunities for artists. Now "Fruits" are welcome guests of the most rated metropolitan shows and music festivals.
The Frukta team at the present time
Members of the popular group are passionate about not only work in the ensemble. They are not devoid of human qualities, so they often organize charity concerts. The musicians also support the "Children of BEL" and "Give Life" foundations. In 2018, Alexandra Dal organized her own charitable foundation. The singer named her project “FLY”.
