Gidon Kremer was born on February 27, 1947 in Riga. The little boy's future was sealed. The family consisted of musicians. Parents, grandfather and great-grandfather played the violin. Moreover, each of them reached certain heights and built a musical career.
The father, who considered it financially promising, especially dreamed of his son's musical future. There is nothing surprising in the fact that dad thought about the material well-being of his son. This is the second family of Markus Kremer. He was of Jewish origin. During World War II, the man ended up in the ghetto. Marcus survived, but the entire family died. Only in 1945 did he marry Gidon's mother, Marianna Bruckner.
The future famous violinist began to study music at the age of 4. The first teachers were my father and grandfather. The boy was taught that patience is important in any business. To achieve something, you need to work hard. Young Gidon learned this well. He practiced the instrument diligently for hours every day.
The guy received his musical education first at a music school in Riga. After coming of age, he moved to Moscow to enter the conservatory. From the first days of training in Moscow, Kremer was called a virtuoso. He voluntarily chose some of the most difficult works and skillfully coped with them.

In the first year of his life in a new country, the artist created a music festival, which he led for many years. Already in the 1990s, the maestro was actively engaged in young promising musicians. To support them, Kremer created an orchestra. They often toured around the world, recorded more than 30 albums.
One of them was awarded the Grammy Award in 2002. And another was nominated for the same award 13 years later. The orchestra spent its 20th anniversary on a musical tour across Europe and the United States. Today it is not just an orchestra, but a brand. He is known all over the world.
