Kavabanga Depo Kolibri is a Ukrainian rap group that formed in Kharkov (Ukraine). The guys regularly release new tracks and videos. They spend the lion's share of their time on tour.
The history of the founding and composition of the rap group Kavabanga Depo Kolibri
The group consists of three members: Sasha Plyusakin, Roma Manko, Dima Lelyuk. The guys got along well, and today the team is absolutely unimaginable in a different line-up. True, there were some changes in the composition in 2019.
The group members have repeatedly said that their team is not only themselves, but also Artyom Tkachenko. He occasionally appears on some of the band's tracks. Concert director Max Nifontov deserves special attention.
The rap group formed in 2010. It was during this period of time that Hummingbird (Lelyuk) decided to follow in the footsteps of his older friend and take up rap. By the way, Kharkiv is one of the few cities in Ukraine in which worthy rap groups are formed with enviable regularity.
Dima wrote the text, found a suitable instrumental and recorded what he came up with. Since Lelyuk did not have a licensed audio editor at his disposal, and there was no desire to use unlicensed ones, the young man began to "punch" the information about the availability of appropriate software in his circle of friends. Soon he went to Sasha Plisakin, who is known to the public as Kavabanga.
Plisakin liked what he heard. He initiated cooperation with Lelyuk. Later, Sasha informed his friend Roman Manko (Depo) about his plans. In the end, it turned out that Roma also wanted to dilute the duet. Thus, the team expanded to a trio and at Plisakin's "hut", novice rappers began to "stir up" the first tracks.
The musicians shared their accumulated material with their friends. Friends supported the newly minted team, and this, in turn, motivated them to reach a more professional level. The rappers came to Sasha Kalinin (singer NaCl) and the recording studio of the artist IMPROVE Rec. Actually here they brought the debut longplay.
In 2019, it turned out that the Kharkov trio had lost one of the singers. The team left Kolibri. From a message posted on the band's official public page, it appears that he left the band due to a series of conflicts that have continued over the past years.

The presentation of the debut album took place in 2013. Longplay was called "Endless Noise". It was topped by 12 sensual tracks. The compositions "City and Fog", "Mood Zero" and "Amphetamine" deserve special attention.
The last song has not lost its popularity. Her fans still "revel" in it today. So far, the group has not "surpassed" this hit. Of course, "Amphetamine" is the calling card of the Kharkov rap team.
On the wave of success, the guys went on their first large-scale tour. It is noteworthy that the audience of the team is mainly girls. Most likely, the representatives of the weaker sex are impressed by the topics that their idols sing about.
Tours, invitations to perform at the best venues in Ukraine and Russia, release of their own merchandise. This is how you can characterize the next few years of the life of rappers.
The next year was no less eventful. Firstly, the musicians announced the recording of the second studio album, and secondly, they pleased the residents of Ukraine with concerts. The artists did not disappoint the expectations of music lovers, and in 2014 they presented the second longplay, which was called "Self-invented Paradise". Like the previous record, the album was topped by 12 tracks.
In 2014, they released several professional music videos. First, a video for the track "Amphetamine" appeared on the video hosting. Then the clips "Scratches", "Kill" and "Split Us" were released.
The following year was also marked by the release of an album. The third studio album, unlike previous works, turned out to be really "fat". It was topped by 20 tracks.
Among the presented compositions, the “fans” noted the songs: “Sneakers”, “Another dose”, “Take me away”, “To the ground”, “Sunny Bunny”. Music critics have awarded the team accolades. Experts said that in technical terms, the team has grown significantly. In support of the third studio album, the guys went on another tour. The rappers did not stop there. Clips were released for some of the tracks.
Presentation of the albums "Come with us" and "18+"
The next year was no less productive. The fact is that the guys replenished the group's discography with two collections at once. The first artists presented a mini-LP, which was headed by 7 tracks. The album was called "Come with us"
In the wake of popularity, rap artists presented a full-length LP "18+", which consisted of 10 pieces of music. This year, the team's popularity has been increased by the tracks "Shots sound", "No excuses" and "You need another". The artists released a video for the title track.
2017 opened the album “Why do we need stars” to fans. Recall that this is the sixth studio album of the rap group. The artists released a video for the top track. According to the already established tradition, the musicians went on tour.
A year later, the premiere of the second part of the LP "Why do we need stars" took place. The album was released on February 9, 2018. The compilation was topped by 10 tracks. Of the presented compositions, music lovers especially appreciated the compositions "Talisman", "Loneliness" and "Don't Start".
Kavabanga & Depo & Kolibri: our days
In 2019, the Kharkov rap group presented the single "Drunk Home". Recall that this is the first work of the group after the departure of Kolibri. In the song, rap artists returned to their usual sound - this is melodic, measured lyrics, using live guitars.
In the summer, the singers presented the track "No connection", in the recording of which HOMIE took part. In addition, in 2019, the group’s discography was replenished with tracks: “To melt”, “No news”, “Fioletovo” (with the participation of Rasa), “Wild high”, “March”.
In 2020, the team was seen in collaboration with singer Lyosha Svik. The guys presented the joint "Numbers". Lesha - demonstrated his talent as a hitmaker. The track solved several problems at once. Firstly, it is mega danceable, and secondly, it is lyrical.
At the same time, the premiere of the tracks “I’ll Fall Nearby”, “Pill” and “Hang Out” took place. In 2020, the band toured as much as possible. True, the guys still had to cancel some of the concerts due to the coronavirus pandemic.
2021 was also not without cool new products. Kavabanga & Depo & Kolibri presented the tracks “Not My Fault”, “Keep No Evil”, “The Smell of Last February”, “Tsunami” (with the participation of Rasa) to fans of their work.
