The history of the creation and composition of the group Lord Huron

It all started in 2010. At the origins of the band is the talented Ben Schneider, who began writing music in his native provincial town of Okemos (Michigan).

He later went on to study visual arts at the University of Michigan and completed his studies in France. Before moving to the territory of New York, Ben Schneider managed to work as an artist.

In 2005, the long-awaited and at the same time fateful move to Los Angeles took place. However, another 5 years passed before the fulfillment of Ben's dream.

Only in 2010, Schneider created the Lord Huron musical group, bringing together people who live for music. Initially, it was a solo project of the musician. However, with the advent of the first EP, Ben expanded the team, replenishing it with talented people. Today Lord Huron is unimaginable without:

  • Ben Schneider;
  • Mark Barry;
  • Miguel Briceno;
  • Tom Renault.

There is no group that, for various reasons, would not change its composition. At one time, Brett Farkas, Peter Mowry and Karl Kerfoot managed to work in Lord Huron. But they didn't stay in it for long.

Debut album presentation

After the final formation of the line-up, the musicians began to collect material for recording their debut album. The first full-length compilation was called Lonesome Dreams. The album was released on October 9, 2012.

The studio album was warmly received by music critics and fans. It peaked at number 3 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart, selling 3000 copies in its first week.

After the presentation of the debut album, the band went on a large-scale tour. The musicians decided not to waste time in vain. Ben actively wrote songs to please fans with the release of a new album.

In 2015, the discography of the American band was replenished with the second studio album Strange Trails. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 23, while Folk-album debuted at number 1. And in the Top Album Sales Chart - at the 10th position.

Then followed a break of three years. The band's discography was not replenished with new albums. However, this did not prevent the musicians from delighting their audience with live performances.
