The peculiarity of their music is that most of the songs contain a mixture of Spanish and English. Molotov's compositions contain political questions about social injustice and corruption. In addition, they contain a lot of obscene expressions, sexual overtones. According to the members of the group is the main point of their activities.

The beginning of the creative path of Molotov

Having heard the music of one American group, friends Tito and Mickey Widobro were inspired to create their own team. After some time, they united to create musical masterpieces. A few months later in 1995, the group was replenished with new guys Javier de la Cueva and Ivan Jared Moreno. So the world saw the first composition of the legendary group.

Popularity went to musicians from Mexico with great difficulty. At first, the participants performed only at rural discos. This brought them recognition in small circles. The local people were impressed by the performances of the group and the news about them spread throughout all the settlements. They performed in the villages, participated in small competitions. We soon decided to take our business to the next level.

The team of musicians wanted more, they have already introduced local districts to their work. The guys wanted to show their art to the population of the whole country, and even the whole world.

Molotov chose the right path to fame and popularity by performing compositions in everyday Mexican language. The lyrics included a mixture of jargon and obscenities. In addition, they put words about the problems of the Mexican people into their songs. Thanks to this, they became close to the public and became their main favorites.

Molotov line-up change

Some of the musicians quickly became disillusioned with this idea and left the band one by one. First, Moreno left the team, but he was immediately replaced by Randy. After that, Cueva also left the group, who was soon replaced by Paco Faila.

After some time, the problems with the constantly changing line-up subsided, and Molotov began to give concerts in Mexico City. In addition to their main activities, the team sometimes played as an opening act for several musical groups.

Important event and provocation

Some time after successful concerts and rehearsals, the most important event for the group happened. After a performance where they gave a concert in association with a rap group, one of the record companies offered them a good contract. The team immediately began working on their first debut album, spending a lot of time in the studio.

A few months later, the record was ready and received the parodic title "Dónde Jugarán Las Niñas". The cover of the disc was quite provocative and risky for the existence of the group, it had an image of a girl in skimpy underwear.

In addition, the lyrics themselves added provocations. They contained a large number of politically incorrect expressions, sexual overtones and obscene language. This led to big problems with the sale of records and cooperation with radio stations. The police even canceled and in every possible way disrupted the group's concerts. And their albums were strictly forbidden not only at home, but also in other countries.

Because of such a high-profile scandal, friends had to leave for Spain. To show their protest against the ban on their work, the group took to the streets of the city. They wanted to sell their discs themselves and recoup the costs and lost time. This act attracted even more noise in society. As a result, this was not done in vain and brought great popularity to the group. The album still saw the light, and even received many awards and accolades.

Awards and achievements Molotov

This year another significant event happened in the life of the team. It was a Grammy nomination and an MTV award. In the spring, the radio stations began to hear the song "Voto Latino", which also played in the movie "The Big Hit". In addition, the team was the winner of some competitions and nominations, and also received many more awards.

Subsequent Molotov concerts remained just as scandalous and very extravagant. Soon, some of their performances began to be accompanied by protests of homosexuals and succumb to attacks from critics. Many of them found one of their compositions quite offensive.

The musical group denied these insults and attacks. But despite this, the main producer still needed to make excuses in some interviews about this incident.

The guys continued to write their songs in the same direction, rare for the public. In the same year, the guys again drew attention to themselves thanks to the release of a new unusual album. Soon, photos of Molotov were distributed in many newspapers and magazines, the group began to appear more and more often in the press.

In addition to their main work, Molotov also engaged in sorting the compositions of other groups. For example, they extravagantly replayed one of Queen's compositions, which caused a mixed reaction.

From second album to hiatus

Continuing to work hard, in 1999 Molotov released their second equally famous and provocative album "Apocalypshit". The usual inappropriate humor and attention to political issues were contained in the songs of the new album.

For example, in one of their compositions, the guys sing about the imminent end of the world due to the poor attitude of people towards the general ecology. Another song denounces conservatives who accuse the band of Satanism.

Over the next couple of years, the team went on several tours, performing in Europe and Russia, where they were greeted with special cordiality and warmth. Immediately after the tour, the team participated in the Watcha Tour.

After that, Molotov decided to take a short break until 2003. Despite such a rest, the guys still continued to participate in competitions, receive awards and release new singles.

In 2003, after the release of the next record "Dance and Dense Denso", the team of musicians again attracted a lot of attention. The content of the songs was new and especially tasty for the audience.

strategic move

At the beginning of 2007, Molotov made a very interesting strategic move to attract attention and flare up like a cocktail in the eyes of the fans. They started a rumor that the group was going through a crisis and would soon break up. But it soon became clear that no breakup was planned. Each of the members only worked on solo projects.

A little later, a disc was released, which contained four solo fragments. Thanks to these fragments, the personal tastes and preferences in the music of each participant were revealed.
