The full name of the artist is Dmitry Sergeevich Monatik. He was born on April 1, 1986 in the Ukrainian city of Lutsk. The family was not rich, but not poor either.
My father knew how to do almost everything, he worked wherever possible. And her mother worked as a secretary in the executive committee, in which the salary was not very high.
After some time, the family was able to create a small business. And the income has increased a lot.
From student to student
Dmitry practically did not differ from other children, he also liked to have fun on the street and “play pranks” at school. But unlike the other guys, he took up break dancing.
Perhaps this can be called the theoretical beginning of a career. He felt that this dance could change his life. And so it happened. Very soon Monatik became the best dancer in his city.
He got absolutely everything. And after a while, having achieved significant success in dancing, he realized that he also sings well. As they say: "A talented person is talented in everything!".
In 2003, it was time to choose a profession. Parents did not consider dancing and singing something serious and advised their son to enter the Academy of Personnel Management.
The guy did just that. But the interest in creativity was so strong that he never graduated from the university.
What did Monatik's first love lead to?
Everyone once falls in love for the first time, and Monatic is no exception to this rule. He got inspired, he began to write poetry and songs.
Unfortunately, the girl chose another, and this was a strong blow for Dima, but did not stop his interest in music. At the same time, Dmitry managed to get into the Star Factory project. This is a show that has become more popular every day. Unfortunately, it was not possible to become a winner. But it was for the best, since the singer Natalia Mogilevskaya drew attention to the young artist.
She saw a “wild spark” in this young guy and invited him to her ballet. But it didn’t take long to work with the singer, then the guy went to study at the Turbo dance studio. Here he became a successful dance teacher among famous choreographers.
In parallel, he developed his musical ear and voice. Even managed to create their own band Monatique. Monatik was able to write several songs and sang them in his homeland, in the small town of Lutsk.

In 2010, Dmitry starred in the series "Mukhtar". Then he became a member of the Everyone Dance project, in which he hit the top 100, although he thought he would get into the top 20.
The guy did not have time to come to his senses and get upset, as he got on the X-Factor show, where he earned the title of the best performer in the country.
In 2011, the first video was released, and Svetlana Loboda sang the song he wrote. This song became a hit. Then his texts were sung by such artists as Eva Bushmina, Anya Sedokova, Dima Bilan, Alina Grosu.
But, apparently, Dmitry decided that it was better to "promote" his voice than someone else's. And already in 2015 he released the first album of S.S.D. ("Today's Soundtrack").
Then the artist was offered to become a jury in the TV project “Voice. Children". There he achieved success along with his student Daneliya Tuleshova. And 2017 was a special year for the artist.
He opened the Eurovision Song Contest with his song "Kruzhit", but performed it in English. In the same year, he managed to release a video for the song "UVLIUVT" and record a duet with Loboda.

The singer's voice can be heard in the cartoon Sing, where he voiced a ram named Eddie. And also in the audio guide "Dad, the helmet is crushing." In July, the song "Deep" with Nadezhda Dorofeeva was released.
The work has received more than 13 million views on the Internet. In 2016, the artist gave an interview to Vladimir Zelensky in the TV show "Evening Kyiv".
On this project, Monatik shared with Zelensky that he had long “patlas” as a child. And compared to the small stature, it looked funny. However, this did not prevent him from becoming a successful and famous person.
Personal life of Dima Monatik
For a very long time, no one knew what was happening in the singer's personal life. Whether he had a wife or children was unknown to anyone.
At one point, the musician's subscribers and "fans" suggested that Irina Demicheva was his wife. A beauty who does not live a public life.
In a post by one of the artist's acquaintances in 2015, they found confirmation that Dmitry has a son. Then neither the singer nor his press service reacted to this. Much later, two years later, Monatik gave an interview in which he confirmed the rumors of his "fans". He is married to Demicheva and even has two sons.
In marriage, he is happy and grateful to fate for wonderful children. A year later, a photo of his family appeared on Instagram. This was the first and last mention of his personal life. As they often say: "Happiness loves silence."

In February 2017, the artist was banned from performing in Russia after a political conflict. The singer does not comment on this in any interview. But this does not prevent him from collaborating with Russian singers such as L'one.
The most interesting thing is that both artists did not communicate, the process of creating a masterpiece took place on the Internet. This was not the end of her career, but her success, as Monatik began touring successfully in Europe. He went on tours in America and Canada.
A little earlier (before leaving), he received an award in the nomination "Best Singer", according to the Yuna Music Award. And also became the winner in the nominations "Best Video" and "Best Concert Show".
Now he is busy with self-development, working on himself and on new albums. At the moment there are only two of them, but the singer is not going to stop. A new album is in development.
