The musical group "Na-Na" is a phenomenon of the Russian stage. Not a single old or new team could repeat the success of these lucky ones. At one time, the soloists of the group were almost more popular than the president.
Over the years of its creative career, the musical group has held more than 25 thousand concerts. If we count that the guys gave at least 400 concerts a day. 12 times the soloists held the prestigious Ovation award in their hands. In 2001, the team received the title of People's Artists of the Russian Federation.
The history of the creation and composition of the Na-Na group
In 1989, the famous producer Bari Alibasov announced the casting. Bari was recruiting soloists for a new project. At that time, Bari Karimovich's previous project "Integral" lost its former popularity. From a commercial point of view, the group was losing, so Alibasov decided to create a new project.
In the same 1989, the first composition of the musical group was formed. The soloists of the group "Na-Na" were Vladimir Levkin - vocalist and rhythm guitarist, solo guitar and vocals went to Valery Yurin, the role of female vocals went to Marina Khlebnikova.
For the next three years, the soloists changed constantly. Only the fans got used to the approved composition, as someone else came to replace it. They say that, in this way, Alibasov increased interest in the new project.
In 1990, a new soloist appeared in the musical group, whose name is Vladimir Politov. He was not only a talented performer, but also a handsome man.
He quickly took his place in the Na-Na group. The bright brunette Politov in his own way complemented the blue-eyed brunette Lyovkin. Such a colorful duet won the attention of the fairer sex.
But then it got even more interesting. Two years later, Vladimir Asimov and Vyacheslav Zherebkin entered the musical group. Later this composition was recognized as gold.
After 5 years, in 1997, some changes again took place in the group - the charming Pavel Sokolov came to the team, and in 1998 Leonid Semidyanov joined the team.
Then the most "evil" and popular members of the "Na-Na" group began to leave the musical group. The reason is banal - the creation of solo projects. Vladimir Lyovkin was the first to leave the group. He was followed by Vladimir Asimov.
Then Lenya Semidyanov and Pavel Sokolov left the group. None of the participants achieved the popularity that pursued them in the Na-Na group.
Someone left the musical group, someone returned. The composition of the group was later formed in this way: Vladimir Politov and Vyacheslav Zherebkin, Leonid Semidyanov and Mikhail Igonin, who became a member of the project in 2014.
Creative way and music of the group
Producer Bari Alibasov, having formed the team, did not immediately decide in which musical genre the group would work. Alibasov was closest to disco-pop, but the producer wanted to “pepper” the tracks with rock music, elements of jazz and the melody of folk. In the end, it turned out what Alibasov was counting on.
A separate theme for the creativity of the group "Na-Na" were musical compositions about love. Handsome guys dressed in stylish clothes and singing about love - it was a hit in the heart of young fans.
In addition, Alibasov made a big bet on the show. His plan succeeded. Each concert of the musical group was accompanied by lighting design and bright dance numbers.
There were no naked bodies. Young people took off their T-shirts and threw them into the crowds of fans.
Creativity and performances of the group "Na-Na" can be characterized by such words as: courage on the verge of scandal, provocation and songs about romance. The secret of popularity, according to many music critics, was based precisely on this.
The group's debut mini-album was presented almost immediately after the formation of the band - in 1989. This collection, which was called “Group “Na-Na””, included only 4 tracks.
It cannot be said that the albums were sold out. The insignificant activity of music lovers was due to the fact that nothing was known about the guys yet.
In 1991, not only the composition was updated, but also the repertoire of the guys. The musical group released a full-fledged album "Na-Na-91". From that moment, in fact, the history, popularity and demand of the team began.
In the same 1991, the soloists of the group presented their first program, The History of a Benefit Performance, to the music lover. In particular, the track "Eskimo and Papuan" became the top and at the same time shocking for many songs. The soloists performed the musical composition practically naked, behind the guys there were dancers in warm fur coats.
This number caused great indignation in society. But Bari Alibasov quite rubbed his hands, because with this performance he achieved what he wanted.
The Russian team "Na-Na" began to be invited to programs, to national concerts and performances. Soloists were interviewed. The members of the group were the center of attention. In 1992, the team went on a big tour of the major cities of the Far East and Siberia.
It was in 1992 that the band's popularity peaked. The soloists presented to the fans another album, which was called "Faina". The song of the same name played for a long time on local radio stations. It was a triumph for the Nanais.
Later, the musicians presented a colorful video clip for the musical composition "Faina". The famous Russian actor Stanislav Sadalsky took part in the filming of the video. But fans and music lovers were shocked. There were erotic moments in the video clip, because of this, the Na-Na group had to re-shoot the work.
At the end of 1992, the guys went with their program to win the hearts of music lovers in Germany, the USA and Turkey. A year later, the band's discography was replenished with the album "Beautiful".
The collection includes immortal hits: "White steamboat", "Well, beautiful, let's go for a ride", "I'm going to the pretty one" and, of course, "The hat fell."
In 1995, the Na-Na group released another triumph for the Nanais. The show, which the guys prepared in honor of the release of the new album, exceeded all expectations.
This time the band's soloists entertained their fans on stage not by themselves, but with their colleagues from Kenya, Bolivia, India and Chukotka.
It seems that then it was already impossible to surprise the fans of the Russian team. But no! At the end of the performance, the soloists of the group presented the new album "Flowers".
The "chip" of this album was that it was recorded in Thailand, with the assistance of the family of the Thai king Rama IX. The musical compositions included in the disc were recorded in Thai. Surprised, so surprised!
1996 was a remarkable year for the release of the albums Night Without Sleep and All Life Is a Game. Unfortunately, these records were not very popular.
But the next collection of "Nanais" - the album "Estimate, yes ?!", which the performers presented in 1997, won the hearts of old and new fans, once again reminded who is in charge here.
In honor of recording a new album, the Na-Na group organized a many-hour show using weapons, cars and military equipment.
Each track that sounded on the stage, the soloists of the group accompanied with artistry - the soloists either changed into sailors' costumes, then appeared on stage in cowboy costumes.
In 2001, the musical group began to conquer new heights - the group was invited to the United States of America, where the Nanais gave a significant number of concerts, and also participated in the American Music Awards.
It seemed to Bari Alibasov that the success and popularity of his project would last forever. However, in 2001, file hosting began to appear.
Most of the music lovers began to use the Internet. The albums of the group "Na-Na" were available for download. Some recording studios were forced to temporarily or completely stop working.
Unfortunately, the crisis did not bypass the Russian team "Na-Na". In 2002, the soloists of the group returned to the territory of Russia. Bari Alibasov said that 2002 was the most difficult period in the life of the team. The producer and soloists of the group fell into depression.
The musicians had no choice but to compensate for the sale of albums with performances. The group began touring almost all over the world. The group even visited China. By the way, the Nanais recorded a new album in China.
In 2010, another change in the composition of the group took place. The new line-up performed at the Luzhniki Sports Complex. The team organized a concert program “We are 20 years old” for fans.
Together with the Na-Na group, Iosif Kobzon, Alla Dukhova's ballet Todes, Alexander Panayotov, the Chelsea group and other Russian artists appeared on the stage.

The team temporarily “fell out” from the eyes of the public. However, the break was short-lived, and soon the group again began to delight fans with their work. At the moment, the team is headed by: Vladimir Politov, Vyacheslav Zherebkin, Mikhail Igonin and Leonid Semidyanov.
In 2017, the Na-Na group presented a video clip for the musical composition Zinaida. The video clip pleased the old fans of the musical group, gaining a significant amount of positive feedback. In 2019, the musicians presented another video, "The sound of cars, the sound of hearts."
