Nani graduated from high school and college with honors. As Bregvadze recalls, the family initially assumed that she would be a pianist. But listening to their daughter's singing, the parents decided that she should sing from the stage.
Nani also really liked to sing, so she tried to perform as a soloist in the orchestra of the local polytechnic university. It was as part of this team that the fragile Georgian girl conquered the jury members at the festival of youth and students, which took place in the capital of the USSR. Presenting the main award to the orchestra, jury member Leonid Utyosov said that a new star had been born.
The musical path of Nani Bregvadze
After success at the festival, the talented girl continued her studies at the Tbilisi Conservatory. Then there were successful performances with the Moscow Music Hall, Bregvadze was also a soloist in the VIA Orero.
The singer began her solo career in 1980. Soviet music critics favorably treated Bregvadze and called her the first pop singer of the USSR, who returned lyrical romances to music lovers. With the voice of Nani, beloved Yuryev, Tsereteli and Keto Japaridze sang again from the stage.
