The history of the creation and composition of the group "Accident"

It all started in 1983. Then Alexey Kortnev and Valdis Pelsh got to audition at the creative studio of Moscow State University, presented the composition “Chasing the Buffalo” at the amateur competition.

Young and talented musicians took the honorable 1st place. The guys didn't stop there. Armed with an acoustic guitar, flute, and rattles, they poured into the student theatre.

A little later, saxophonist Pasha Mordyukov, keyboardist Sergei Chekryzhov, and drummer Vadim Sorokin joined the duet. The replenishment of musicians had a positive effect on the sound of musical compositions. Soon the team made their debut in the stage productions of "Garden of Idiots" and "Off-Season".

This was followed by participation in the cabaret "Blue Nights of the Cheka", which at that time was directed by Evgeny Slavutin. Soon the musicians toured throughout the United States of America and Europe.

Expansion of the group "Accident"

After the tour, the group "Accident" expanded. The surgeon-double bassist Andrey Guvakov and the bass guitarist-lighter Dmitry Morozov joined the band. With the advent of these "characters" the group has created its own style of stage behavior. And if before that the musicians pleased with high-quality music, now they were distinguished by their originality.

The musicians tried on beautiful white suits and hats. In this image, they released a number of clips: "Radio", "In the Corner of the Sky", "Zoology" and Oh, Baby. The group "Accident" became a member of the nascent company "Author's Television".

In the mid-1990s, the band members, together with guitarist Pavel Mordyukov, contributed to the creation of Leonid Parfenov's project "Oba-na". Moreover, the musicians produced the Blue Nights and Debiliada programs. They not only participated in the creation of programs, but also performed their own tracks. This approach allowed to gain a multi-million army of fans.

Not without their own projects. At this time, television programs were created, for example, "Guess the Melody", the advertising business developed, the broadcast of "Radio 101", and also composed music for the popular channels "ORT" and "NTV".

Since the musicians were engaged in the development of not only the "Accident" group, there were changes in the composition from time to time. To date, of the "oldies" remained only:

  • Alexey Kortnev;
  • Pavel Mordyukov;
  • Sergei Chekryzhov.

Also in the team were: Dmitry Chuvelev (guitar), Roman Mamaev (bass) and Pavel Timofeev (drums, percussion).

Music of the group "Accident"

The band's popularity peaked in the early 1990s. Despite the fact that the musicians and their band were in demand, the release of the debut album was constantly postponed.

The discography of the group "Accident" was replenished with a debut album only in 1994. The collection was called "Trods of Pludov". This album includes the most vicious and long-loved hits of the band.

The release of the second album was not long in coming. On the wave of popularity, the musicians presented the disc Mein Lieber Tanz. The highlight of the collection was that the tracks were combined with announcer's recitatives and eyeliners.

The second studio album was distinguished by an abundance of electronic sounds. Interestingly, about 50 artists worked on the collection. Among the artists were the youth orchestra of the conservatory, as well as the popular group "Quarter".

The album received a lot of positive feedback not only from fans, but also from music critics. They put the group "Accident" on the same position with the main representatives of the Russian music scene.

In 1996, the soloists of the group "Accident" presented another musical novelty. We are talking about the collection "Off-season", which includes old and new tracks. In addition, the musicians staged a performance of the same name at the site of the House of Cinema.

A little later, the artists staged the comic show "The Clowns Have Arrived." For the first time, the musicians practiced live communication with their fans. Viewers could ask exciting questions and get answers in a non-standard format.

In 1996, Kortnev assembled a team to release a video clip for the musical composition "Song of Moscow". At the same time, a satirical video clip "Vegetable Tango" was released.

Creation of the Delicatessen label

In 1997, the musicians founded their own label, which was named Delicatessen. At the same time, the band's discography was replenished with a new collection, which was called "This is Love."

The aforementioned album in the literal sense of the word sold out from the shelves of music stores. On the wave of popularity, the musicians released a video clip "What did you mean." In addition, a cover version of the song from the film "Generals of the Sand Quarries" appeared at the New Year's show in Ostankino.

The artists have accumulated enough funds to open their own recording studio. In the same year, the group "Accident" presented the collection "Prunes and dried apricots". This is the first album that was not remembered by music lovers and was not a commercial success.

The musicians were pretty tired from working in a recording studio, so they decided to take a break. With the participation of the Kvartet I theater, they launched the performances Radio Day and Election Day, which hit television in 2007.

It is interesting that only one musical composition of the "Accident" group sounded in the stage productions. Alexey Kortnev wrote the rest of the songs, and later presented them under the guise of creativity of non-existent singers and bands. After the premiere, the collection with soundtracks for performances was presented by the group "Accident" in the Moscow club "Petrovich". With this event, the group was able to attract a new audience of fans.

Creative crisis in the team "Accident"

The team's humorous projects were very popular. Despite recognition and success, a creative crisis began in the career of the "Accident" group.

In 2003, the group's discography was replenished with a new collection, which was called "The Last Days in Paradise". The main pearl of the collection was the track "If it weren't for you." Despite the fact that the song was very popular among music lovers, the band's frontman thought about disbanding the Accident group.

To distract themselves from the so-called "creative crisis", the musicians played several "sloppy" concerts for friends. Then the artists found the strength to return to recording a new collection.

Presentation of the new album

In 2006, the band's discography was replenished with the collection "Prime Numbers". The album came out slightly depressing. Against the background of the songs "Winter", "Microscope" and "Angel of Sleep", which the musicians dedicated to lonely people, the only positive track was the composition "05-07-033".

After the presentation of the collection "Prime Numbers", the musicians said that the release of the album cost the team considerable effort. The fact is that almost every soloist suffered from personal experiences. The musicians also said that for the next two years they would give up the studio work in honor of the concert activity.

In 2008, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the creation of the group, the team "Accident" released a disc with the top hits. We are talking about the collection "The best is the enemy of the good." In addition, the musicians played several concerts in the relaxed atmosphere of the Gorky Moscow Art Academic Theatre.

Soon the musicians presented the 8th studio album "Tunnel at the End of the World". Interestingly, the release of the disc coincided with the presentation of the film "Quartet I" "What else do men talk about."

Thus, Alexey Kortnev got an opportunity to present the collection additionally. The musician, with minor amendments, included in the film new compositions unknown to viewers and fans.

Then the band's discography was replenished with the albums Chasing the Buffalo and Kranty. On the track "I'm freaking out, mom!" The musicians released a colorful video clip.

In 2018, the group "Accident" celebrated its 30th anniversary. The team celebrated a solid anniversary in the Moscow concert hall "Crocus City Hall". Valdis Pelsh wanted to lead a concert program. The gala concert in honor of the 30th anniversary turned into a real show.

Group "Accident" today

In 2019, the group prepared for their devoted "fans" a musical performance "In the city of Lzhedmitrov!". The production could be seen at the Zuev House of Culture. New compositions were performed in the performance, so the fans suggested that the presentation of the new album would take place in 2020.
