The Early Years of Puddle of Mudd

The composition of the group has changed over the course of its existence. At first, the group consisted of four people. They were: Wes Scutlin (vocals), Sean Simon (bassist), Kenny Burkett (drummer), Jimmy Allen (lead guitarist).

The name of the group was given due to one event. The Mississippi River experienced a flood in 1993 that was widely publicized. As a result of the flood, the band's base where they held rehearsals was flooded. The guys managed to record their debut work Stuck three years after its creation.

Three years later, lead guitarist Jimmy Allen left the band. As part of three people, the Abrasive album was released, which included 8 songs.

Until 2000, the group performed their compositions in the style of musical garage grunge. But here there were disputes among the participants. Someone wanted to change the style of sound, while others were happy with everything. In 1999, the group broke up.

Group recovery

Wes Scatlin after the breakup was noticed by American singer and director Fred Durst. The famous performer of the group Limp Bizkit saw the talent of the guy. Therefore, he suggested moving to California and creating a new group there.

The Puddle of Mudd team has been reborn. But, apart from the vocalist, there was no one else from the composition of the old participants in it.
