Reginald Noble (real name Redman) was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1970. Ros was a very active child. From childhood, he learned to rap on the streets of his native city, dreamed of connecting his life with music. Reginald's first and foremost devoted admirer was Rose's younger sister.
From the age of 11, the boy worked part-time in nightclubs as a DJ. The family was poor and could not afford a professional installation. Therefore, the future rapper made it himself from used parts.

Therefore, Noble took up the microphone and came to grips with his musical career. Together with other aspiring rappers, he shot his first video, which the public did not appreciate.
Redman's first forays into music
At the age of 17, when it was time to go to college and the family didn't have the money to do so, Reggie started dealing drugs. He himself smoked marijuana for a long time. After entering college, the guy worked as a dishwasher, a salesman, a cook's assistant to pay for books.
However, he was soon expelled from the university. In 1987, Reggie took part in the show of young talents, but he was kicked off the stage for profanity. Then he performed in freestyle battles of various nightclubs, where he was noticed by the founder of the EPMD group Erik Sermon. This meeting changed his life.
Soon he was accepted into the group of rappers Hit Def Squad Squad, which at that time included many famous performers. In 1992 the guys released their first album Whut? Thee Album. The compositions from the disc were nominated for "Best Single of the Year" and won the attention of listeners.
A year later, Source magazine honored the performer with the "Artist of the Year" award. After the success of Redman, other rappers tried to copy his style of performance. However, no one was able to repeat it. While other artists were mixing rap and funk, Reggie was preparing his second album under the direction of Def Jam.
Each of Redman's successive releases throughout the 1990s, including Dare Iz a Darkside (1994), Muddy Waters (1996) and Doc's da Name (1999), were huge hits in the US. The album Daze Iz a Darkside turned out to be darker than the previous one.
The performer included strange voices in it, many mysterious sounds, the nature of which can only be guessed at. The album Muddy Waters can be considered a guide for weed smokers. One of the songs Do What You Feel became the lead single for the popular computer video game.

With another rapper, the artist recorded the soundtrack for the film The Show How High (1995). He became very successful and got into radio rotation.
Red then tried himself as a producer, opening his own recording studio, Funky Noble Productions. In 1999, Blackout! was released, with Method Man taking part in its creation. The record became "platinum", bringing success and multi-million dollar income to its creators.
