The beginning of the creative path

Immediately after the creation of the group, the musicians created material with which they could perform on stage. After writing and rehearsing several songs, the band members sent demo materials to the organizers of various festivals and received invitations to perform.

The SKY group debuted at important events in Western Ukraine - the festivals Chervona Ruta, Tavria Games and Pearls of the Season. The team has fans all over the country.

The next stage in the development of the SKY group was 2005, when the team took part in the Fresh Blood program on the Ukrainian TV channel M1. Musicians still call this project the main impetus for their development.

The Fresh Blood program is a unique project in the vast post-Soviet show business. The channel has a huge audience, allowing talented musicians to immediately express themselves.

In addition to showing off their talent, artists can get professional advice and get producers.

One of the jury members of the "Fresh Blood" competition was the owner of the Lavina Music label, Eduard Klim. The professional musician immediately appreciated the potential of the SKY group and offered the guys a contract. At this time there was a transformation of the name of the team. Between the letters of which dots appeared (“S.K.A.Y.”).

The musicians began work in the studio on the first full-fledged album "What You Need", even before the release of which the "promotion" of the band began. Songs from the debut album appeared in the rotation of 30 radio stations.

S.K.A.Y's first album

A year after signing a contract with the Lavina Music label, the band's record was released. The title track of the disc quickly gained popularity not only among fans of alternative guitar music, but also among fans of other popular styles.

The debut album was successful. The musicians recorded different compositions in terms of tempo, arrangements and themes. The team went on a mini tour of Ukrainian cities in support of their first album.

In 2007, the development of the group “S. K.A.J.” continued. The guys created new songs for which video clips were shot. One of these compositions was "Best Friend". The song raises the problem of adaptation of HIV-infected people.

Oleg Sobchuk has a friend who suffers from such a dangerous disease. The worst thing is that after his friend’s relatives found out about her, they turned away from him.
