Childhood and youth of Vyacheslav Butusov

Vyacheslav Butusov was born in the small village of Bugach, which is located near Krasnoyarsk. The family did not live long in the village, since it was almost impossible to earn a living in such a small village. The main source of income for the inhabitants is agriculture.

The Butusovs moved to Khanty-Mansiysk, and then to Surgut, and Vyacheslav graduated from high school in Yekaterinburg. Little Butusov did not show much interest in music as a child. He developed an interest in heavy music as a teenager.

After graduating from school, Vyacheslav entered the local architectural university. In an educational institution, Butusov met Dmitry Umetsky. Both young men loved rock and dreamed of their own band. But the guys did not know how to express themselves. So we just played guitars together, trying to compose music.

Interestingly, Umetsky and Butusov recorded their first record at home. Despite a strong passion for music, the guys managed to get a diploma. After graduating from the institute, young Vyacheslav was assigned to an architectural bureau. Butusov took part in the development of the appearance of the stations of the Yekaterinburg metro.

Despite the fact that Butusov showed himself well as an engineer, he really liked music. Every evening, he and his friends gathered at a local rock club to hone their guitar playing skills and “set” the timbre of the voice correctly.

Music did not give the young man the opportunity to earn a living, so during the day he worked as an engineer. Butusov became recognizable only in 1986. Then he was able to loudly declare himself as a rock performer.

The debut album "Moving" was recorded in 1985. Butusov recorded the tracks as a demo cassette. In 1985, Butusov became a member of the Step musical group. He then created the recording "The Bridge", which he later re-released as a solo album.

In 1986, the first professional album of the singer "Invisible" was released. Then hits such as "The Prince of Silence" and "The Last Letter" came out.

Then Vyacheslav Butusov began to create as part of the Nautilus Pompilius group. In addition to the singer, the group included Dmitry Umetsky and Ilya Kormiltsev.

The musicians released the album "Separation", thanks to which they became popular in the Soviet Union. “Khaki Balloon”, “Bound in One Chain”, “Casanova”, “View from the Screen” are hits that do not have an “expiration date”. Then musical compositions sounded all over the country.

The team was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize in 1989. Positive articles about the work of musicians began to appear in the main publication of the Komsomol organization "Change".

Vyacheslav Butusov: album "Foreign Land"

In 1993, the Nautilus Pompilius group presented another album, Alien Land. He really liked the fans of the musical group. The track "Walking on the Water" became a folk song.

Two clips were recorded for the musical composition. This track was covered by other Russian rockers. For example, the vocalist of the DDT group and Elena Vaenga.

The Nautilus Pompilius team has existed on the Russian stage for about 15 years. The composition of the musical group is constantly changing. A little later, the group moved to Leningrad, where the guys began a new period in their creative life.

In Moscow, the rock band released more than 10 studio albums, not counting several live recordings. The group's first album recorded in the northern capital was the disc "Wings".

Conflicts in the Nautilus Pompilius group

Conflicts began in the team. Vyacheslav Butusov is the main soloist of the musical group, on which the audience of the group kept.

The members of the group enjoyed the popularity, so each of them began to dictate their own rules.

After 15 years of work in a rock band, Vyacheslav Butusov first thought about a solo career. He has everything to carry out his plans - fans, money and useful connections. In 1997, he officially announced to the "fans" that he was leaving the team and going into "free swimming".

In the same period of time, Butusov and Yuri Kasparyan became the founders of the Yu-Piter group. Interestingly, the musical group is still active in creative work.

The beginning of the Yu-Piter group is associated with the presentation of the song "Shock Love" and the first disc "Name of the Rivers". And then the albums of the musical group came out:

  • "Flowers and thorns";
  • "Goodgora".

And, of course, the name of Vyacheslav Butusov is associated with such hits as "Song of the Going Home", "Girl in the City" and "Children of the Minutes". The presented compositions occupied leading positions in the music charts. In addition, they can still be heard on the radio.

In addition to the fact that the singer reached the very top of the musical Olympus, he also tried himself as an actor. Director Alexei Balabanov invited Vyacheslav to play an episodic role in the legendary social drama "Brother", for which Butusov recorded the soundtrack.

The musician wrote soundtracks for films ("War", "Blind Man's Buff", "Needle Remix"). As a cameo, he appeared in a dozen documentaries and feature films.

Personal life

Butusov concluded his first marriage even when he lived in Yekaterinburg. He lived with his wife for over 10 years. Butusov's first wife was Marina Dobrovolskaya, she worked as an architect. A daughter was soon born in the family.

However, in this family, Butusov felt uncomfortable. He did not want to create, come home and develop. After some time, he began dating Angela Estoeva. At the time of the meeting, the girl was only 18 years old.

Marina did not yet know that Butusov was planning to divorce her. Later, the woman recalled that the last month they spent together was a honeymoon. The artist went to the concert. And Marina found a note in her pocket stating that he could no longer live with her, because he had another woman.

Butusov and his new darling Angela Estoeva signed in St. Petersburg. Many did not believe in their marriage, but the couple is still together. They have a very friendly and big family. Interestingly, Angela managed to establish contact with the eldest daughter of Vyacheslav from his first marriage. Butusov admits that when he met his second wife, he seemed to have found himself.

In addition to music, Vyacheslav is fond of prose and painting. This is evidenced by his page in Instagram. Also in 2007, the presentation of the book "Virgostan" took place, which included the stories of the musician. The book was read with pleasure by fans of Butusov's work.

At the peak of his musical career, Butusov began to drink alcohol. For 10 years he drank alcohol daily. When he realized that he would soon lose his family, he began to go to the temple. Today he helps the homeless. He believes that this is how he atones for his sins.

In 2018, the artist gave concerts, which included compositions from the repertoire of the Nautilus Pompilius group. The work of the performer is still interested in. His concerts were sold out. At one of the performances, Butusov presented the Goodbye America collection, in which he collected the band's best hits.

Butusov commented on the release of the disc with the following words: “The disc is saturated with the main component of creativity - creativity. And creation is impossible without love and good intention. This music is open to everyone. Listen and wait for the continuation ... ".

In 2018, there were rumors that Vyacheslav would take part in the filming of the serial series "The meeting place cannot be changed." Vyacheslav played one of the main roles in the series.

2019 is the year of concerts. At the moment, the artist organizes concerts in Ukraine and neighboring countries. The singer has an official website where you can see the latest news about his creative and concert activities.

Butusov and his group "Order of Glory" presented the fans with a new single. We are talking about the track "Man-Star". The composition premiered on March 12, 2021. On the artist's YouTube channel, the single is presented accompanied by a video sequence with biblical scenes.
