David Coverdale before Whitesnake

Before assembling a team, David became famous in the famous band Deep Purple. Music critics agreed on one thing - this team made a huge contribution to the development of hard rock.

More than 100 million copies of albums have been sold worldwide, but this is not the end, discs continue to be actively sold now. Deep Purple was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame four years ago.

David Coverdale joined the band by submitting his demo of Harry Nilsson's Everybody's Talkin'. Deep Purple were looking for a vocalist without much fanaticism and chose David's cassette randomly from many others, but they were struck by the voice.

Creation of the Whitesnake band

Like many talented artists, having got a start in a good group, David thought about continuing his musical career. David was contractually unable to found or join a new band for some time after leaving Deep Purple.

Then the singer went to the trick - he began to perform solo with the musicians accompanying him, they were first named David Coverdale's Whitesnake.

Already at this time they released collections of songs: White Snake and Northwinds.

The year 1979 was marked by the release of a new and atypical disc by the group Lovehunter. The fact is that he was distinguished by erotic compositions. In very "moral" countries, it was sold wrapped in closed packages.

In 1980, the Whitesnake group released a real hit Fool For Your Lovin.

Further songs in the UK hit the top 20 and top 40 music charts, but unfortunately in the US these songs, like the band's new album, were "failures".

minor break

The forced break in the activities of the group was due to the fact that David's daughter fell ill. He threw all his strength into making her "go out" and for a while forgot about the music.

The band was followed by Neil Murray. For two years, the members of the Whitesnake group did not write anything.

New composition and new life of the group

The composition of the group often changed, and by 1987 the "golden" line-up broke up. Vocalist David remained "in his place". The triumphal success won the album in the same 1987. The transatlantic audience is captivated.

Meanwhile, the music of the Whitesnake group was changing - it did not have the old blues sound, the emphasis was on hard rock.

Whitesnake today

The second breakup of the musical group occurred in the late 1990s. In 2002, David wanted to continue the activities of the Whitesnake group again.

To do this, he recruited a completely new composition. The only "old man" besides the vocalist himself was Tommy Aldridge (drums player).

In the 2000s, the band gave a legendary concert in one of the largest entertainment complexes, the Hammersmith Odeon, which was recorded and released on DVD in 2006.

The work of Good to Be Bad, created 12 years ago, deserved special love from critics.

In 2010, the musical team worked on the creation of a "fresh" brainchild. A year later, in 2011, the album Forevermore was released.

In 2015, the musicians demonstrated a disc consisting entirely of Deep Purple songs.

The most "new" clip of the team was released 7 years ago.

The group toured, delighting their fans around the world. At the moment, the team continues its creative path and, perhaps, to the delight of the "fans", will soon prepare the release of a new and interesting album, despite numerous rumors about the breakup.
