Zlata Ognevich was born on January 12, 1986 in Murmansk, in the north of the RSFSR. Few people know that this is not the real name of the singer, and at birth she was called Inna, and her last name was Bordyug. The girl's father, Leonid, served as a military surgeon, and her mother, Galina, taught Russian language and literature at school.
For five years, the family lived on the sea coast, but then the father was transferred to Leningrad for work, and the mother, along with her daughter, went after him. But they also lived in Leningrad for a relatively short time, and soon went to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, namely to the city of Sudak.
Zlata's childhood
Inna's mother was simply tired of life in a cold climate, and it came to an ultimatum: either life by the sea in a warm city, or a divorce. The father of the family did not want to lose his wife, and leaned towards the choice in her direction. In Sudak, Inna learned to play the piano.
After the collapse of the Union, her father left the post of doctor. The family needed finances, and the mother decided to start her own business. In addition, they had another youngest daughter, Yulia, who decided to go to law school.
After the move, the parents were very worried about their daughters, and did not even allow them to walk alone in the yard, but the future performer became an independent girl from an early age, and soon the mother decided to encourage this quality. The daughter was even sent to the bakery for bread. And she was a few streets from the house.
Ognevich speaks fondly of his childhood. She recalls that a good-natured atmosphere constantly reigned in their two-room apartment, guests often came. Sometimes their number even reached 30 people.
Relationship with sister
Zlata also recalls frequent trips to the mountains and night swimming in the waters of the Black Sea. But she had a difficult relationship with her sister, they constantly scandalized and often fought. Once the girls even broke a window in the house. There was also a case when they decided to pour water on each other and, carried away, flooded the neighbors from below.
But as they grew older, the sisters grew closer and eventually became best friends. Julia began to comfort her sister, and Zlata tried to replace her mother for her when she was busy with work.
The glory of the performer interferes a little with the happiness of her sister. After all, often guys met Yulia solely because of the popularity of her relative.
When Zlata was 17 years old, she was going to move to another city and go on an independent "swimming". Parents did not argue with their daughter, supported her, wishing her good luck.
In Kyiv, she entered a music school. At the same time, she managed to do it the first time, and even go to the budget.
Career Zlata Ognevich
Even while studying at the institute in the specialty "Jazz Vocal", the girl became a member of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, she was a soloist in a small and little-known musical group, she performed compositions in the Latin style.
When the music university was graduated with honors, Inna decided to take her creative pseudonym Zlata Ognevich and start a solo career. But to become a truly successful performer, she lacked participation in major competitions.
Therefore, the main goal of the girl already at the first stage was participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2010 and 2011 she managed to reach the finals of the internal selections, but in them the rivals were stronger. In parallel with this, Ognevich released songs such as:

Zlata also participated in the festival "Slavianski Bazaar", and was also the winner of the Crimea Music Fest. Soon she became the face of an advertisement for one of the Crimean resorts, and in 2012 she again released another song. But the artist became truly successful in 2013.
Zlata at Eurovision
It was then that she managed to become a participant in the Eurovision Song Contest with the hit Gravity. Few people predicted a serious success for the girl, despite the skeptical opinions of critics, in Swedish Malmö she was able to score 214 votes and take third place.
Only Denmark and Azerbaijan were ahead. In the autumn of the same year, Zlata was invited to lead a children's song contest, held in Kyiv. Timur Miroshnichenko became her co-host. In 2013, she received the title of Honored Artist of Crimea.

In 2014, Zlata decided to test her own strength in the political sphere. She became a People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada as part of Oleg Lyashko's faction.
The main activities were issues of creativity, culture and spirituality. But, as it turned out, the singer did not like this position, and in less than a year she resigned.
In 2014, she recorded several patriotic compositions, and just a year later she returned to concert activity. Compositions such as "Lace" and "Light the Fire" were released, for which video clips were later created.

In 2021, Zlata became the main character of the Ukrainian reality show Bachelor-2. The best men of Ukraine fought for her heart. She shared with the audience her vision of the family and men. In addition, Ognevich said in almost every issue that she was “ripe” to create a strong family.
At the end of the project, two men fought for her heart - an athlete and the owner of a cleaning company Dmitry Shevchenko, as well as a businessman - Andrey Zadvorny.
