3 Doors Down Collective Formation

At the end of the last century, new rock bands appeared with enviable regularity in America. One of them was 3 Doors Down.

The band was made up of drummer Brad Arnold, who was also responsible for vocals, Todd Harell, who played bass, and guitarist Matt Roberts. The team was formed in 1996.

Two years later, Chris Henderson became a full member of the group. He was invited to the team by Harell, who had known him long before the gang was founded.

Also for two years in the group 3 Doors Down played Richards Lils, but he was a member of the group for only two years.

Subsequently, he was replaced by Daniel Adair, but he stayed in the group for only three years. The final line-up of the band was formed in 2005 with the arrival of Greg Upchurch.

Since a permanent drummer appeared in the band, Arnold no longer needed to play drums, as a result of which he decided to devote himself completely to vocals.

In 2012, the band's bassist, who had been a member of the band since its inception, announced his departure from the band. This was done due to illness, he urgently needed therapy, because of which he could no longer withstand the busy schedule of the group.

He was replaced by Chet Roberts, who had already appeared at 3 Doors Down's shows in Brazil on some of the tracks.

Musical activities of the group

The first composition of the group 3 Doors Down, which appeared on the air of the radio, was the song Kryptonite. Initially, the guys did not want to be superstars, but the public liked the track so much that it was successfully sold for more than three months.

After such success, the musicians immediately began recording the first album, The Better Life, which was released in 2000.

The team gained popularity suddenly. Absolutely no one expected such success for the debut album of a little-known band. A similar result was facilitated by the writing of several successful songs Loser and Duck and Run, which the public liked.

As a result, a year later, the 3 Doors Down group participated in the recording of the Be Like That soundtrack for the comedy film American Pie.
