Yanka Dyagileva is best known as the author and performer of underground Russian rock songs. However, her name always stands next to the equally famous Yegor Letov.
Perhaps this is not at all surprising, because the girl was not only a close friend of Letov, but also his faithful companion and colleague in the Civil Defense group.
The hard fate of Yanka Diaghileva
The future star was born in harsh Novosibirsk. Her family was low income. Parents were simple workers at the factory, so one could only dream of a rich life.
The house the family lived in was old and did not even have basic amenities, the area was the same. Yana from childhood had to learn to protect herself.

Music lessons
One day, acquaintances of Yankee's parents noticed that the girl was interested in music. Parents heard the advice and sent their daughter to a music school. Yana learned to play the piano, but there were no significant successes.

The decisive moment was the meeting of the parents and Yankee's music teacher. He told his parents that Yana was just suffering. After that, the girl stopped attending music lessons.
However, a little later, she herself learned to play the piano, preferring to perform only in front of relatives and friends.
Among the friends of the parents were musicians, with whom Yana constantly went to meetings. Perhaps it was they who returned the girl's interest in music.
Around this period of her life, the girl began to master another instrument - the guitar. Moreover, she began to write poetry.

A new stage in the life of the artist
After leaving school, Yana dreamed of starting her studies at the Institute of Culture. But the girl's mother became seriously ill. To be close to her family, Yanka entered the Engineering University in Novosibirsk.
Although the study did not please the girl, Yana found a way out - the Amigo ensemble. The team was already popular in the city, and Yanka felt like a fish in water.
The winter of 1988 was marked by the release of Yana's first record. The album "Not allowed" gave a great impetus to the further development of Yana in the musical field, and in the summer she could be heard at one of the festivals in Tyumen.
Acquaintance with Irina Letyaeva
Thanks to the creative association "Amigo" Yanka met Irina Letyaeva - far from the last person in the world of Russian rock. It was this woman who contributed to the development of young rock bands in the Soviet Union and organized festivals.
She constantly communicated with famous performers, even Boris Grebenshchikov lived in her apartment for some time. It was these apartments that became the meeting place for Yanka Diaghileva and Alexander Bashlachev.
Bashlaev seriously influenced the girl's work and became one of her best friends.
Yana and the "Coffin"
Once in Yegor Letov's group "Civil Defense", Yana opened up like a rosebud. She got everything she wanted - tours, constant concerts, and, of course, fame throughout the Soviet Union.
With Letov, Yana was connected not only with a working relationship. The guys were very close friends. It was Yana and several other people who took Letov from the psychiatric clinic.
There he was forcibly held for anti-Soviet songs. Together they fled the city, but at the same time they still managed to give concerts.
Songs of that period, such as "On the Tram Rails" and "From a Big Mind" are still considered hits of Russian rock. Yana's music was valued for its originality and originality.
In 1991, the last concerts of Yanka Diaghileva took place in Irkutsk and Leningrad.
Personal life of the singer
Yanka married in 1986 Dmitry Mitrokhin, who was also a musician. However, happiness did not last long - Yanka was simply dying from everyday life, which prevented her from developing.
Separately, it is worth noting the relationship between Yana and Yegor Letov. It is no secret that the guys were close friends, but their relationship was not limited to this. Letov himself admitted that they are almost like a family, but each of them has his own life.

The story of the death of a talented singer is still shrouded in secrets. In 1991, Yana went for a walk, but never returned home. Only some time later, one of the fishermen discovered her body in the river.
The investigation did not find the perpetrators, there were not even suspects. The terrible situation was defined as suicide.
