Childhood and youth

Alexander was born in the Moscow region, in the village of Kamenka. His date of birth is January 18, 1959. The family of the future musician was far from creativity. My father chose military service for himself. And her mother worked at school, was a primary school teacher. However, this did not contribute to the good performance of Alexander. He admitted that he received excellent marks only in two disciplines: music and physical education.

While studying at high school, Solodukha got acquainted with the work of the Belarusian ensemble "Pesnyary". Their hit "Mowed Yas Konyushina" made a huge impression on Alexander. Since then, the young man had a dream to get into the legendary team. At the same time, Solodukha was fond of football and set himself the goal of becoming a Dynamo player.

Soon the head of the family was assigned to Belarus. This news inspired Alexander, because in his dreams he already saw himself as one of the Pesnyars. It seemed that the fulfillment of this desire was at hand. But the life of the family and the plans of the future musician were turned upside down by a tragic accident: the father was seriously injured in a car accident.

The period of treatment and rehabilitation was long. This event forced the young man to reconsider his plans. Unexpectedly for those around him, he became a student at a medical institute in the Kazakh city of Karaganda, and in his fourth year he transferred to study in Minsk, received a diploma.

By profession, Solodukha worked for only one year. He was more interested in music. He auditioned for popular ensembles such as Syabry, Verasy and his beloved Pesnyary. But the young musician failed to get into any of them.

Despite the failures in Belarus, in the mid-80s Alexander went to auditions in Moscow, and at the same time decided to enter the Gnesinka. But due to the presence of a diploma, the applicant was not accepted, it was impossible to get a secondary education after higher education. It happened in the mid 80s.

Solodukha had to return to Minsk. At first he sang in a bar of one of the hotels. It was here that luck smiled at him. Alexander was accidentally heard by the pianist and composer Konstantin Orbelyan, who advised the young man to enter the orchestra of Mikhail Finberg. Soon Alexander Solodukha became his soloist.

Musical career

The path of a musician in his work was full of ups and downs. Alexander survived the dismissal from Finberg's orchestra for incompetence. He worked in the music hall and song theater of Jadwiga Poplavskaya and Alexander Tikhanovich. He met the talented composer Oleg Eliseenkov, with his help he began solo performances.

Since 1990, Solodukha continued his attempts to conquer the capital of Russia. He participated in the music competition "Schlager-90", where Philip Kirkorov won. In 1995, he shot a video for the song "Hello, someone else's sweetheart", the author of the music for which was the composer Eduard Khanok. 

The clip appeared on the air of one of the leading Russian TV channels. Soon the album of the same name was released. It turned out to be very popular not only in Belarus, but also in Russia.

Solodukha's next musical success was collaboration with composer Alexander Morozov. Together they recorded the song "Kalina", which became a hit in the post-Soviet space and got into the rotation of Russian radio stations.

In 1991, at the initiative of Alexander Solodukha, the Karusel group appeared. Soon began touring activities in the republics of the CIS. The team performed at the "Slavianski Bazaar" in Vitebsk. And the performer, whose popularity in Belarus beat all records, no longer tried to conquer the Russian public. Solodukha built a house, got married and continued to delight fans with new musical compositions.

In 2000, the album "Kalina, Kalina" was released, which gained popularity in Russia. After 5 years, Alexander released an album, which included the song "Grapes", which instantly became a hit. In 2011, the musician presented to the public a new collection called "Shores".

Now the artist's discography includes a dozen albums. In 2018, by decree of Alexander Lukashenko, the singer was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.

On May 9, 2020, at the height of the coronavirus epidemic, Solodukha took part in a festive concert that took place on Victory Square in Minsk.

Alexander Solodukha was married three times. From his first two marriages he had two sons. The musician maintains warm relations with them. The third wife Natalya gave the singer a daughter. It happened in 2010. The girl was named Barbara. The eldest daughter of Natalya from Antonina's first marriage is also growing in the family.
