Antytila is a pop-rock band from Ukraine, formed in Kyiv in 2008. The band's frontman is Taras Topolya. The songs of the group "Antitelya" sound in three languages - Ukrainian, Russian and English.
The history of the musical group Antitila
In the spring of 2007, the Antiteles group participated in the shows Chance and Karaoke on the Maidan. This is the first group that performed on the show with their own song, and not with someone else's covered hit.
Despite the fact that the team did not win the show, their song “I Will Not Forget the First Night” was broadcast on television more than 30 thousand times. This was the band's initial step towards popularity among Ukrainian music lovers.
The group is believed to have been formed in 2004. At this time, Taras Topoli, the frontman of the group, performed in one of the Kyiv clubs. The usual composition of the group was formed after 4 years. After participating in the Chance project, the group worked more carefully on the sound of their compositions.
In the winter of 2008, the band released the first album "Buduvudu" and the video clip of the same name, which was highly appreciated by the fans. Over time, the group became one of the favorites of the M1 television channel.
In 2008, the team received wide recognition and a large list of awards, such as "Best Debut of the Year", "Pearls of the Season". MTV invited the Antibodies group to tour around the country, and, of course, she agreed.
In the following years, the band took part in various competitions and TV shows supported by Catapult Music. In 2009, the group was nominated for an MTV award.
In 2010, the band ended their collaboration with Catapult Music and went to the Sziget Festival in Budapest. The team organized the first independent tour of the country's clubs.
In the same year, the group's song became the soundtrack for the short film "Dog Waltz". The following year, several songs were released for the domestic film Hide and Seek, in which the musicians played themselves.
Albums of the group in the period 2011-2013.
In 2011, the group released the album "Choose", then went on a tour throughout the country. The new album included 11 songs and three additional songs, among which was "Look at me".
This song was performed in Russian and became popular in Russian pop-rock music, for a long time occupied the leading positions in music charts.
The lyrics of the album are directed at the problems of society, and the sound of the songs is heavier than before. Critics were surprised by the fact that the Ukrainian group won the hearts of Russian listeners almost immediately.
In the summer of the following year, the composition “And All Night” occupied the first positions of the charts, and “Invisible Woman” touched upon the important topic of abortion. In the autumn of the same year, the group organized outdoor tours, traveling around all the major cities of Ukraine.
In 2012-2013 the group was nominated for five nominations of the Chart Dozen award by the radio station Nashe Radio. In addition, the group "Antitelya" gave the first concert in Russia, where they were received with cordiality. In the winter of 2013, the Mova tour was scheduled. In the same year, the third album of the group "Above the Poles" was presented.
Antibodies 2015-2016
In the spring of this year, the group released the album Everything is Beautiful. In the autumn of the same year, an unusual film “You Are Not Enough for Me” was released, in which Sergey Vusyk played the main role. The group was engaged in active volunteer activities, after which the frontman of the group started creating the song "In the Books".
This composition became one of the most dramatic in the group's reserve. A little later, a video clip was released for it. In 2016, a video was shot for the song "Dance", which was actively broadcast on the M1 television channel.
Antibodies group events 2017-2019
In Kyiv, the group was recording the album "The Sun", recording a video clip for the song "Single". Some time later, this song became the soundtrack to the series of the same name and was the main composition of the album.
At the beginning of 2017, the band organized the largest tour across the country, which included 50 concerts in just 3 months. On April 22, the group staged a tour of American cities such as Chicago, Dallas, New York, Houston, etc., gathering full concert halls everywhere.
At the end of the tour, filming of the video clip for the song "Fary" began. This is the fourth time that a video clip was shot for a song from the album "The Sun".
At the end of 2017, Denis Shvets and Nikita Astrakhantsev left the group, and they were replaced by Dmitry Vodovozov and Mikhail Chirko. In the new composition, the Antibody group began to develop the video “Where We Are”.
In the summer, the group released a video for work from the Hello album "Seize the moment". In it, the musicians starred along with their relatives. The album and video were released in 2019.
The group "Antitelya" has achieved wide popularity not only in Ukraine and Russia, but also became famous in other countries of the world. This happened thanks to the excellent sound and sharply social lyrics in the texts, characteristic of rock music.
The group has become one of the most popular Ukrainian rock bands among young people, and has even achieved the status of some "bridge" to rock music for fans of other genres. The compositions of this group are of interest both from a musical and lyrical point of view.
Antibody group today
Some of the concerts that were planned in support of the last LP - the guys were forced to cancel due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this, the artists managed to release "tasty" tracks. In 2021, the compositions "Kino", "Masquerade" and And you start were released. By the way, Marina Bekh (Ukrainian athlete) took part in the filming of the last video.
The video "Masquerade" gained several million views in six months, and the "fans" decided to sort out the work in seconds. One of the comments especially impressed Topolya and he “fixed” him.
In support of the latest LP, the band will go on tour in Ukraine. The performances of the band will take place in May and end in mid-summer 2022.
