Bad Wolves is a relatively young hard rock band from the United States of America. The history of the team began in 2017. Several musicians from different directions united and in a short time became famous not only within their own country, but throughout the world.
The history and composition of the musical group Bad Wolves
As a separate line-up with an individual name, the musicians united only in 2017. Although the idea to get together appeared among the musicians back in 2015, it was necessary to sort out several organizational issues in order to get a new line-up that performs hard rock. Before that, many managed to work with various bands - DevilDriver, Bury Your Dead, etc. The group includes:
- the vocalist of the band Tommy Vext (former member of the bands Snot, Heresy Divine, Massacre Westfield) was born on April 15, 1982. His real name is Thomas Cummings. The author and performer of songs, musical activity began as a teenager in Brooklyn;
- drums - John Böcklin - ex-drummer of DevilDriver (2013-2014) was born on May 16, 1980 in Hartford (Connecticut), in 2016 he led his own project;
- on the guitar, the main part - Doc Coyle - a former member of the God Forbid band - has been known as a musician since 1990, he worked at that time with his brother in New Jersey;
- Rhythm guitar by Chris Kane. He previously played in the Boston band Bury Your Dead, the Michigan band For The Fallen Dreams. Born on November 19, 1955, he is recognized in the world as a blues guitarist, received several awards.
The organizational aspects of the Bad Wolves team were decided by the no less famous musician Zoltan Bathory. The performer is very talented and famous - songwriter, plays the rhythm guitar. He is an active member of the metal band Five Finger Death Punch.
In 2010, Zoltan Bathory received the prestigious Metal Hammer Golden Gods award in the Best Shredder nomination for 8 studio albums.
The style preferred by musicians, heavy metal, was popular in the 1970s. It was originally called classic. Artists such as Black Sabbath and Judas Priest played in this direction.
Zombie song and recording failure
The metal band Bad Wolves gained particular fame after performing a cover version of a song by another rock band The Cranberries in 2018. The updated hit Zombie (1994) brought the group to a new level of popularity around the world. On the US Rock Hits Chart in 2018, the cover version peaked at number 1. And in the charts of other countries also occupied a leading position. The song was certified platinum in Canada and the USA.
Initially, the cover version of the composition was to be recorded with the participation of vocalist Dolores O'Riordan of the Irish band The Cranberries, who performed the original. However, the girl died on the day appointed to record the first versions of the single.
Dolores offered to record an updated hit and personally agreed to use her vocals. The clip, which the group recorded in memory of the young and beloved by many performers, gained more than 2018 million views in 33. In addition, it became a hit on iTunes and Spotify video download links.

Over the three years of its existence, the Bad Wolves group presented only two albums recorded in the studio:
- Disobey was released in a finished version on May 11, 2018. For a long time kept in the best charts of rock music hits around the world;
- NATION was released a year and a half after the presentation of the first studio album on October 25, 2019. The listeners did not take the album very warmly. He held the highest position in the Austrian chart (44th position).
The most popular compositions of the rock band Bad Wolves are a cover version of the Zombie hit, the single Hear Me Now, the composition Remember When, Killing Me Slowly (in January 2020, it occupied a leading position in the American rock charts).
Concert activity of Bad Wolves
The group actively travels around the world, gives concerts in different countries, participates in festivals. In June 2019, the Moscow audience accepted the team.
Many concerts in the USA and Canada have been announced in 2021 (the unstable situation does not yet allow the band to move on). You can buy tickets online. At the moment, it is not known when the group will again be able to perform at the venues of Russian rock clubs.
