Kim Jennie, like the previous member, did not always live in Korea. At the age of 9, her parents sent the girl to New Zealand, where she studied at ACG Parnell College. And in 2006, she starred in the MBC English documentary, Must Change to Survive. In the film, the girl talked about how she was given the development of culture and life in New Zealand. Kim speaks Spanish, Korean and English. She also plays the flute very well.
Lisa's full name is Pranpriya Lalisa Manoban. She is also not Korean. Lisa was born in Thailand. The girl from her youth was fond of dancing and music. Now Lalisa is the main dancer of the group blackpink.

In August 2016, the album Square One opened the discography of the South Korean band. The composition Whistle was created in the style of hip-hop. The track was produced by Future Bounce and Teddy Pak. And Bekuh BOOM took part in writing the lyrics.
The presented song, as well as the second single Boombayah, turned out to be a real "gun". They took the top of the Billboard and for a long time secured their position as the leaders of the hit parade. No one has done this faster than the group Blackpink from Korean stars.

A few months later, the quartet presented their second single album. We're talking about the Square Two record. Soon the group again performed in the show Inkigayo. The track Playing With Fire conquered the top of the world chart, and at home took the honorable 3rd position.
According to the results of the debut, the singers became the owners of prestigious music awards in the category "Best Newcomer". Interestingly, Billboard ranked the quartet as the best new K-pop group of 2016.
The group debuted in Japan in 2017. More than 10 thousand people came to the showcase of the team at the Nippon Budokan arena. The number of people wishing to attend the performance exceeded 200.
In the summer, the singers released another single. The musical novelty was called As If It's Your Last. The track was dominated by elements of reggae, house and moombaton. In general, this is the first song that differed from the usual sound of the group. The changed sound did not prevent the composition from taking the top of the Billboard. At the end of August, the band's mini-LP was released in Japan. During the first week of sales, a little less than 40 thousand copies of the collection were sold out. Reality Show Blackpink TV
In 2017, fans learned about the preparations for the launch of the Blackpink TV show. The project started a year later. A little later, the quartet's debut mini-album Re:BLACKPINK was re-released. And in the summer, the group released their second mini-album Square Up. The track DDU-DU DDU-DU was highly appreciated by the fans. He took 1st position in six charts.
A video clip was released for the song. In the first day, he scored 36 million views. It was a record for Blackpink as well. The Square Up compilation after its debut took 40th position in the Billboard 200 ranking. And in the Billboard Hot 100 - 55th position.
After a short break, the singers presented the single Kiss and Make Up by Dua Lipa. The song peaked at number 100 on the Billboard Hot 93. Thanks to this, the group hit the prestigious chart for the second time in a year.
At the same time, the team members shared another good news. The fact is that each of the participants will realize themselves not only as part of the group, but also outside it. The girls also began to build a solo career.
At the end of 2018, the band's discography was finally replenished with the first full-fledged studio album. The record was called Blackpink in Your Area. In the first week of sales alone, fans sold out 13 copies.

To date, the team is the best that exists in the K-pop industry. In 2019, the group took part in the Coachella festival. Interestingly, this is the first women's group that performed at this festival. At the same time, the group announced that they were going on a world tour. Some of the concerts had to be canceled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2019, the group's discography was replenished with a mini-LP. We are talking about the album Kill This Love. Vibrant video clips were filmed for some of the tracks.
