The Blue System group was created thanks to the participation of a German citizen named Dieter Bohlen, who, after a well-known conflict situation in the musical environment, left the previous group.
After singing in Modern Talking, he decided to form his own band.
After the working relationship was restored, the need for additional income became irrelevant, because the group's popularity began to slowly decline.
History of the Blue System team
The history of the emergence of the Blue System team started in the not so distant 1987. Then the group Modern Talking broke up.
Then Bohlen decided to sing solo, left a fairly successful project, going to America.
The remaining member of the team, who has long wanted to get a new image and independence in creativity, convened the initial composition of the group from professionals: J. Vogel, F. Otto, M. Rollin and performer Jeanette.
Having decided to create a new creation (in order to avoid suspicions of standardization), which often sounded during the days of the Modern Talking group, the head of the team did not want to work with "sweet one-days". He decided to create lyrics reminiscent of rock compositions.
Then the musician decided to move away from the sensational and managed to set the teeth on edge pseudo-homosexual image. It was decided to completely change the style - he pulled cowboy boots on his feet, threw his usual light-colored sneakers into the trash.
The masculinity of the appearance was harmoniously complemented by innovations in vocals, which turned into a low velvet tone.
Having firmly decided to change the spectrum of movement, the musician made songs for the Blue System group, reminiscent of the work of a then famous group.
Music of the Blue System band
The creation of his own group allowed the performer from the Modern Talking group to find new signs of his own composer's gift.
The pilot work in the musical field, created directly for the Blue System group, was the unforgettable song Sorry Little Sarah.
This work, thanks to the use of live musical instruments, has become popular among German fans. Released as an independent song, she captivated the audience, breaking into foreign charts.
In the video clip, filmed in the picturesque Mallorca, Bohlen appeared before the audience as a romantic, yet strong hero with pronounced masculine qualities.
This composition is combined with the works of Gangster Love, Love Me More, also liked by many She's a Lady, written with the participation of an unsurpassed specialist in the design of musical compositions, Louis Rodriguez.
These works were included in the launch album Walkingon a Rainbow, released at the end of 1987 within the walls of the German recording center Hansa Records.
Having achieved recognition, as well as positive reviews from music specialists, the group gave many concerts in their country and a year after the start of the first release released another full-length album.
On the way to success
The songs My Bed Is Too Big were released, as well as Love Suite and Silent Water, which became a transition to a synthetic sound. Then the group successfully performed with the work Magic Symphony, which was the first "swallow" from the third LP Twilight.
The group's work gradually became known abroad, stepping over the German cordon. The performers were recognized from the first chords, and the records were sold out like hot cakes.
Video clips for the song My Bed Is Too Big, as well as Love Suite, were broadcast on local television, and later on nationally, which made advertising for the group's albums.
Later, in the discography of the unsurpassed Blue System, many vocal and instrumental songs appeared, which contributed to the increase in recognition and the awarding of BVMI gold status.
Conquering other continents, such as the countries of Africa and Eurasia, the group often performed with concerts on the territory of the USSR. At the same time, the band recorded several popular albums at the Hansa Records studio.
Most of all, the listeners remembered: Hello America, Backstreet Dreams, and Here I Am.
Team breakup
In the late 1990s, the musical creativity of the Blue System group began to lose the interest of listeners. Due to the lack of former popularity, the team began to lose the level of income to which the team members were accustomed.
There was no point in continuing further activities, and the number of tours gradually decreased.
In addition, the producers of the Modern Talking team took care of restoring the legendary line-up of the group, which would provide the soloists of the Blue System group with their former popularity.
Since the team reconciled with Thomas Anders, disbanded the team, stepped over the former discord. During the period of its existence, the group managed to win fans among German listeners, went beyond the borders of the country, but everything returned to normal.
Group now
Now the songs of the Blue System group are very recognizable, but there is no peak of popularity that was before. Videos Gangster love, My Bed Is Too Big, and Sorry Little Sarah are watched to this day.
The number of views is getting bigger. In 1997 the last song Here I Am was recorded. For all the time of existence, they released 13 albums and about 30 singles.
