Filatov & Karas is a musical project from Russia, which was formed in 2012. The guys have been going to the current success for a long time. The efforts of the musicians did not give results for a long time, but today the guys' work is actively interested, and this interest is measured by millions of views on YouTube video hosting.
The history of the creation and composition of the Filatov & Karas group
The "fathers" of the team are considered to be Dmitry Filatov and Alexei Osokin. By the way, before the creation of a common brainchild, each developed separately.
So, Filatov at the beginning of the so-called "zero" years was listed in Sound Fiction and "Filatov and Solovyov". He settled at Solaris Recordings, and also stood at the origins of the Dynamics show on Megapolis and DFM. Behind Dmitry was a rich creative biography.
Alexey Osokin once worked at Man-Ro. It was published in French Hit! Records, together with Raduga, hosted "Dance Playground" on UFM radio. The artist has created an unrealistic number of cool remakes of tracks by Russian and foreign artists.
Initially, the musicians performed under the banner of Red Ninjas, and later began to perform as Filatov & Karas. It has already been noted above that for the first time the musical project became known in 2012.
"Filatov and Karas" believed that they had correctly taken the landmark. The musicians wanted to promote their music abroad. To do this, they recorded works that were quite enough to record a full-length LP. They went to ADE, hoping that their work would not go unnoticed. In addition to flattering reviews, the artists received absolutely nothing. After that, Filatov and Osokin switched to domestic music lovers.
Later, a purely male company was diluted by a singer named Alida. In 2019, the company became richer by one more person. The charming Svetlana Afanasyeva, who was already known to music lovers as a participant in the Voice project, joined the team.
The creative path of the group Filatov and Karas
The first wave of popularity covered the guys with the release of a remix for the track The Good, The Bad and The Crazy by Imany. On the wave of popularity, the musicians presented another work. We are talking about the composition Don't Be So Shy.
Then Filatov and Karas presented the song Good, Bad and Crazy. The presented work strengthened the authority of the musicians. By the way, "Good, Bad, Crazy" took a leading position on several Russian radio stations. The first success at the international level happened after the premiere of the track "Don't be so shy."
Some time later, the group's discography was replenished with remixes of Tell It To My Heart and Wide Awake, and the reworked "Lyric" of the rock band "Sektor Gaza" finally made music lovers fall in love with "Filatov and Karas". The guys have a multimillion-dollar army of fans.
The musicians did not stop there. Soon the group presented the track Time Won't Wait, which made the most pleasant impression on the "inhabitants" of the YouTube video hosting. At the same time, the premiere of "Stay with you" with samples of Tsoi took place. By the way, the last track brought the Filatov and Karas group several prestigious Russian awards.
Filatov & Karas: our days
In 2020, the guys received the "Golden Gramophone" for the performance of the musical piece "Take My Heart" (with the participation of Burrito). Music lovers who had the opportunity to listen to the song said that the guys managed to convey the incredible atmosphere of the track and even give it a different life.
By 2021, the band's discography has not been replenished with a full-length LP. So far, the musicians have recorded several EPs. By the way, the band members themselves do not care about the lack of albums. The group leader commented:
“Longplays are lived exclusively by major labels that promote artists like Robbie Williams. We, in turn, think exclusively in singles. I think it’s much easier to create a simple, clear and short musical story.”
In 2021, the band's discography was replenished with the track TechNoNo, which also included a video. In the same year, the work of musicians was celebrated at the highest level. The artists received another Golden Gramophone. This time, the artists were awarded for the performance of the song "Chilit".
At the end of June 2021, Filatov & Karas and "Mummy Troll"Introduced a combination to fans of their work. The composition was called "Amore Sea, Goodbye!". The collaboration was incredibly warmly received by "fans" and music experts.
