Childhood and youth
Christophe Martichon (real name of the artist) was born in 1975 on the territory of Carpentras (France). The boy was a long-awaited child. At the time of the birth of their son, the parents developed their own business - they were the owners of a small confectionery.
Music was encouraged in the family home. My father was an amateur jazzman. The head of the family motivated Christoph to make music. When he was 6 years old, dad allowed him to choose the instrument that the boy would like to learn to play. He chose the violin. As a teenager, he mastered drumming. In addition to playing music, he was fond of sports. In particular, Christoph dreamed of a professional skiing career. After a serious illness, he had to leave physical activity for a while. The teenager was bedridden.
Only music saved Christophe from depression. He spent hours listening to songs by his favorite artists: Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley and Ben Harper.
Soon he decided to test his strength in the musical field. He recorded solo compositions in such musical genres as rhythm and blues and soul. Relatives and friends spoke positively to the talented performer about his debut compositions. The support of relatives was enough for Christophe to decide not to get a higher education, but to master the profession of a singer already at a professional level.
After announcing that he was not going to get an education, the head of the family insisted that his son go to study at a local college. Christoph received basic skills as a pastry chef. True, according to the confessions of the star, he did not put the acquired knowledge into practice.
Soon Christophe, together with Julien Gore (a friend), entered the conservatory and created his own musical project. At first, the guys did not count on conquering large concert venues. They performed in small towns and villages.

He received his first “portion” of popularity at the age of 20. This event was facilitated by the end of the conservatory and significant experience on stage.
In 2004, Christophe took a landmark in France, in particular the capital of the country. The artist was looking for a label and a professional recording studio to record his debut LP. Soon he managed to record several tracks at the Warner recording studio.
This period of time is also marked by the fact that Christophe performed "on the warm-up" of world-class stars. He took part in the Sila and Cher concerts. During the performance of Jonathan Serada, fortune smiled at him. The fact is that he met the producer Dawa Attiya. From him he heard about a brilliant project for a new musical.
The producer invited Christopher to take part in his production. Mahe in the musical "The Sun King" played the younger brother of Louis XIV. Especially for Christopher, they even simplified the text, since the artist had an accent.
In one of the interviews, the artist spoke about his concerns. On the one hand, he wanted to work with a famous producer. But, on the other hand, he did not want to turn into a musical star. In addition, he got a characteristic role. He was worried that he might become a one-man actor. His fears were not justified. In 2007, his discography was replenished with the debut LP Mon Paradis. The album was warmly received not only by fans, but also by music critics. The top song of the collection was the song On SAttache. In support of the album, the singer went on his first solo tour.
The artist did not stop at the achieved result, so in 2010 he presented his second album to the "fans". The album was called On Trace La Route.
The presentation of the LP was preceded by the release of the single Dingue, Dingue, Dingue. According to the old tradition, the musician went on tour. The artist's concerts lasted until 2011. The record received the so-called "diamond" status.
2013 also did not remain without musical novelties. Christophe expanded his discography with the collection Je Veux Du Bonheur. The record was topped by 11 tracks. During the first week, 100 thousand copies of the collection were sold. Sweet-voiced Mahe was out of competition. The album was certified platinum twice.
Three years later, Christophe presented the lyrical and sensual album L'Attrape-Rêves. The tracklist of the LP includes 10 new songs. Many of the songs described the personal experiences of the artist.
