Black Smith is one of the most creative heavy metal bands in Russia. The guys started their activity in 2005. Six years later, the band broke up, but thanks to the support of the "fans" in 2013, the musicians united again and today they continue to delight fans of heavy music with cool tracks.
The history of the creation and composition of the team "Black Smith"
As noted above, the group was formed in 2005, in the very heart of the cultural capital of Russia - St. Petersburg. At the origins of the team is Nikolai Kurpan.
Kurpan is the first one who came up with the idea to “put together” a team. Later, like-minded people came to his project in the person of M. Nakhimovich, D. Yakovlev, I. Yakunov and S. Kurnakin.
The guys played well and sang. After the formation of the composition - they began exhausting rehearsals. During this period of time, they recorded the first demo compilation, which was saturated with the sound of heavy metal. The participants of the "Black Smith" right at their concerts "pushed" the collection.
Soon there were the first changes in the composition. So, the guitarist left the group, and his place was taken by Evgeny Zaborshchikov, and later Nikolai Barbutsky.
The guys worked together to promote the group. Soon a recording of the live compilation Rock's over roks went on sale. A few years after the "active actions" the efforts of the musicians were fully rewarded. At one of the Russian fests, they received the Audience Choice Award. A year later, the bass player left the band, and Pavel Sacerdov took his place.

In 2009, the premiere of the band's full-fledged debut album took place. The discography of the group was replenished with the collection "I am who I am!". Longplay was warmly received not only by fans, but also by music critics. The success and acceptance of the work inspired the musicians to continue their creative activity.
After the release of the debut album, the composition of the team again suffered changes. A talented drummer left the group, believing that participation in the team would not make him rich. His place was vacant for a short time. Soon a new member joined the team. They became Evgeny Snurnikov. Then the guitarist left the group, and Sergey Valerianov took his place. During this period of time, they are touring and working closely on the creation of a new album.
When the musicians finished work on the Pulse collection, they faced some difficulties associated with piracy. The band's tracks remained streamed online. The album sold extremely poorly. Sponsorship somewhat leveled the situation.
The dissolution of the Black Smith group
Then the guys received an offer to work on the "musical stuffing" for a computer game. Soon the band's discography was supplemented by the OST compilation Lords and Heroes. Despite the fact that the album was on sale, there was still not enough money. The participants of the "Black Smith" decided to stop the project. In 2011 they played a farewell concert in Moscow.
A few years later, fans became aware that the band intended to return to the heavy music scene, but not in full force. In 2013, it turned out that the group would now be represented by only two members - Mikhail Nakhimovich and guitarist Nikolai Kurpan.
They resorted to crowdfunding. At the time of the reunion, the musicians said that they were working on a new record, so they really needed funding. After a couple of weeks, the required amount was on hand.
In 2017, the group's discography was replenished with the collection "Supernatural". The album was warmly welcomed by music experts and fans.

In 2019, the band members shared with fans information that they were planning to record their debut video clip. To do this, the duo opened a fundraiser. In 2020, it became known about the release of the EP "Judgment Day".
Mikhail Nakhimovich in 2021 also took up a solo career. This year, the premiere of his record took place, which was called “.feat. I-II (Remastered)". Fans incredibly warmly welcomed the composition "The Picture of Doriana Gray".
