A feature of the band's tracks is the fusion of such powerful musical genres as black, gothic and symphonic metal. The band's conceptual LPs are considered true classics today. The stage image of the artists deserves special attention - the make-up for devilish images is both terrifying and mesmerizing.

History of creation and composition of the group

Daniel Lloyd Davy is to be thanked for the appearance of the band on the scene of heavy music. Until the creation of his own offspring, he managed to visit several groups. Later, he took on the creative pseudonym Dani Filth and began to implement the idea regarding the founding of a new project.

Inspired by the articles of the alternative publication Metal Hammer, in 1991 he "put together" the group Cradle of Filth. Soon like-minded people joined him, and the guys started creating the first demos. The work of the newly minted team was appreciated by the producers. The musicians signed a contract with Tombstone Records and at the same time presented a full-fledged debut LP Goetia. Newbies are in the spotlight.

After a chic debut, the first serious disappointment awaited the musicians. The team was unable to redeem the tracks that became the basis of the debut collection. The studio that released the record went bankrupt. The guys signed a contract with Cacophonous and in 1994 presented the album, which today is considered to be the debut LP.

In the mid-90s, the composition of the team changed. Today, vocalists Dani Filth and Lindsey Schoolcraft stand at the microphone, while Marek Ashok Smerda, Martin Skarupka, Richard Shaw and Daniel Fierce play musical instruments.

Creative path and music of Cradle of Filth

In 1994, the discography of the metal band was replenished with the LP The Principle of Evil Made Flesh. The disc incorporated really "juicy" tracks, but due to the lack of professionalism of the producers, the collection was left without due attention. In the end, the guys decided to break the contract with Cacophonous.

The musician spent about a year looking for a suitable recording studio. They settled on a prestigious English indie label whose producers promoted rock and metal. In 96, they resumed work on Dusk… and Her Embrace.

The disc was warmly received not only by music lovers, but also by authoritative music critics. On the wave of popularity, the group went on a big European tour, after which the musicians were called "sick and offensive" by representatives of different religious cultures.

The accusations benefited the metalworkers. This multiplied the popularity of the group at times, and soon the team in full force appeared in the BBC film. At the same time, the premiere of a new LP took place. The record was called Cruelty and the Beast.

In 2003, the group's second conceptual LP was released. The record was called Midian. The band's frontman revealed that the tracks were created after reading Clive Barker's book The Tribe of Darkness. In support of the studio, the musicians went on a tour that took place across the United States.

After the tour, the group's discography became rich in one more collection. The album Damnation and a Day was based on John Milton's Paradise Lost. After a short break, the musicians present the LPs Nymphetamine and Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder, which incorporate bloody stories.

In 2010, the team went on another tour, which was held under the slogan "horror, madness and perverted sex." On the wave of recognition for four years, they will present several more LPs.

According to the Cradle of Fils frontman, his team is not going to slow down. In support of each album, the musicians toured. Most of the performances were concentrated in America.
