Childhood and youth of the star Dasha Astafieva
Dasha Astafieva is by no means a metropolitan personality. A girl was born on August 4, 1985 in the small provincial town of Ordzhonikidze (Dnipropetrovsk region). Her family are ordinary average workers.
Dad is a railway worker, mom is a worker at a greenhouse plant. But the singer recalls her childhood with trepidation and warmth and claims that she grew up in the love and care of her relatives. But the situation at school was a little different. The fact is that the model appearance appeared in the girl much later. And in her school years, she was an "ugly duckling."
Overweight, facial skin problems and terribly low self-esteem did not allow the girl to show her best side. Dasha had almost no friends, and classmates ignored her. And only thanks to the family and her support, the girl did not lose faith in herself. She had a good voice and an excellent ear for music. Even in high school, Dasha began to actively engage in aerobics, dancing and drawing.

Choosing a profession was not difficult. Dasha Astafieva, after graduating from school, entered the Dnepropetrovsk School of Culture and Arts, choosing the faculty of directing.

In an educational institution, in addition to directing, Dasha Astafieva was actively engaged in vocals, and additionally took private lessons from well-known teachers. Already at the school, she decided that she would not stay after graduation in Dnepropetrovsk, but would leave to conquer the capital.
Once in Kyiv in 2006, the girl met a well-known personality in show business circles - producer Yuri Nikitin. It was thanks to him that Dasha Astafieva got into the musical project "Star Factory" and became a member of it.
Unfortunately, the aspiring singer did not manage to take a prize in the final of the project. But the stylish, attractive and talented girl was remembered by both the audience and the producers of the show. Therefore, in 2008, Astafieva was offered to become one of the soloists of the new group Nikita.
The artist managed to prove herself 100%. Vivid provocative images, outrageous behavior on and off stage, a memorable voice. This led to the fact that the number of fans in a matter of months increased tenfold. The debut album "Machine" was presented by NikitA to listeners in 2009. The group decided to try their hand at the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The girls carefully prepared for the competition, but they could not compete in it. The fact is that Dasha was invited to participate in the Girls Next Door project, which took place in the United States. And the girl preferred the American project, refusing to perform in the selection.

In 2011, the artist became the owner of the Golden Gramophone award.
In 2017, the NikitA group broke up due to disagreements between the members and the producers. Dasha Astafieva went into free "swimming" and began a successful solo career.

The artist managed to work with Ukrainian designers. In 2009, Dasha Astafieva became the official face of the domestic brand Gromova Design.

In addition to her career as a model and singer, Astafieva is actively working as a film actress, acting with popular directors in the country. Her debut film role was a young Kyivan Lilia in the film Lovers in Kyiv. This work was presented at the Cannes Film Festival.
