The musicians of the progressive rock band Dead by April release driving tracks that are designed for a wide audience. The team was founded in early 2007. Since that time, they have released several decent LPs. The first and third album in a row deserved special popularity among fans.
The formation of the rock band
From English "Dead by April" is translated as "Dead by April". At the origins of the team are Jimm Strimell and Pontus Hjelm. The guys initially planned that Dead conveys the hard component of the tracks, and April - soulful and tender.
By the way, the “fathers” of the group are the only members who are in the team to this day. The guys took a forced break, and briefly left Dead By April, but still returned to their offspring.
Jimmy has been holding a microphone in his hands for many years, but Pontus - whoever he was. The only musical instrument he did not play in the band was the drum set. Almost the same group is faithful to another of its members - Markus Wesselin. In 2008, he joined the line-up, after some time he was entrusted with bass guitar and backing vocals. The rest of the team changed from time to time.
For a long time, the main vocalist was afraid to go on stage and perform in front of a large audience. Because of this, the guys had to postpone the presentation of the project several times. But constant rehearsals, public appearances and participation in festivals have done their job. Hjelm overcame his main phobia, and the team began to act as an opening act for popular bands. Most of all, the musicians remember the collaboration with Sonic Sendicate.
In 2009, the musicians presented their self-titled debut studio album. The musicians shot video clips for the tracks Losing You and Angels of Clarity, which were included in the disc.

A year later, it became known that Jimmy Strimell was officially leaving the team. The musician commented that he was forced to leave the group due to constant conflicts with the rest of the members.
Jimmy upset fans with the information that he did not intend to go back. A replacement was quickly found. He was replaced by Kristoffer "Stoffe" Anderson. With a new member, the guys recorded an EP, and then went on tour.
New albums and line-up changes
In 2014, the band's discography was replenished with the third LP. We are talking about the collection Let The World Know. After the release of the collection, it became known about the departure of Alex Svenningson. Soon his place was taken by a new drummer, whose name is Marcus Rosell.
In the same year, Sandro Santiago's decision to leave the group became known. The fact is that he decided to do solo work, so he did not see the point of working on two projects. At this time, Pontus returned to the place of the vocalist, and the group went on one of the longest tours.
After returning from the tour, the team pleased the fans with a statement that they are working closely on a new LP. At the same time, they launched their own mobile application, which allowed "fans" to listen to several teasers from the new collection.
Before the presentation of the fourth studio album, the guys pleased the audience with the release of several singles. The novelties aroused the interest of fans, and they were looking forward to the release of the novelty. The guys were in no hurry with the presentation of the LP. Its release took place in 2017. The record was called Worlds Collide.
Then it became known that Kristoffer Anderson was leaving the group. This news upset fans. To keep the fans in a good mood, the guys announced a tour in support of the new LP. Then it became known that the team was going on tour together with the indispensable vocalist and "father" of the project - Jimmy Strimell. In the autumn of the same 2017, the presentation of the Worlds Collide mini-LP (Jimmie Strimell Sessions) took place.

In 2020, it turned out that Jimmy Strimell was finally leaving the team. It turned out that he joined the group, accepting some conditions. So, the leader of the team demanded that he not drink alcoholic beverages and alcohol. Jimmy did not keep his promise, so he was forced to leave the group, pulling the train of a seriously ill person with him. His place during the tour was taken by Christopher Christensen.
The promised album in 2019 was not released. In an interview with one of the Finnish publications, Pontus Hjelm said that the new collection has already been recorded, but is still waiting for the label's decision on the release date.
In 2020, the guys delighted the audience with the presentation of the Memory single. Note that the extreme vocals for the composition were recorded with Christensen. Some time later, the musicians presented their second single, called Bulletproof. On the last track, Christopher Christensen was responsible for the vocals.
In 2021, the rock band's tour resumed. And this year the musicians will visit several CIS countries. In particular, they will visit the territory of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
