Dzidzio is a Ukrainian group whose performances resemble a real show.
Popularity hit the artists not so long ago, but it is interesting that they went the way to fame in a short time.
History of creation and composition
The frontman of the Ukrainian group is Mikhail Khoma. A young man with a long beard is a graduate of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
That half of the fans of the musical group who lives in western Ukraine probably knows that the word "jidzio" literally translates as "grandfather".
Mikhail Khoma already had attempts to create his own group. Mikhail's first musical group was named "Mikhailo Khoma and Friends".
Mikhail's group has achieved some success. However, these successes did not go beyond the boundaries of their hometown of Novoyarovsk.
Mikhailo Khoma and Friends performed at local corporate parties and restaurants.
Mikhail completed his stage image with a beautiful hat with a feather.
Let's face it, Khoma looked a bit eccentric. And when most of the representatives of the Ukrainian stage followed the latest fashion trends, Mikhail tried to maintain his Ukrainian origin.
On stage, the Jijo musical group looked very colorful and authentic.

The official date of birth of the Ukrainian group is September 9, 2009.
Dzidzio were able to enter the big stage thanks to their friend Andrey Kuzmenko (frontman of the Scriabin group). Andrey writes the track “Stari fotografii” for musicians, which brings Jizio the first portion of popularity.
Very soon, the soloists of the Ukrainian team will perform the song "Yalta".
And it was after the performance of this track that Jijo became popular.
Many say that the popularity of the group directly depends on the charismatic Mikhail Khoma - he managed to charm both men and women equally.
The popularity of Jidzio has gone beyond the territory of Ukraine thanks to the possibilities of the Internet. Mikhail begins to record funny monologue videos. In a mini-video, Mikhail Khoma told the audience about his pet, Mason the pig.
A little time will pass, and the same pig will become the emblem of the Jijo musical group.
Mikhail Khoma says that the success of their work is understandable. People are tired of banal groups, and therefore demanded to see the team as a holiday.
The soloists of the DZIDZIO group with their original image and energetic manner of performance were able to meet the expectations of music lovers.
The guys perform their songs on surzhik, sometimes profanity and irony slip through the tracks. Where without her!
The “golden” composition of the Ukrainian musical group looked like this: the main frontman is Mikhail Khoma, Nazariy Guk and Oleg Turko, who is known to the general public as Lesik.
And the guys were inspired by a representative of the weaker sex named Nadezhda. Nadia did not go on stage during the performance of the guys, but she starred in all the video clips of the Jidzio group.
In 2016, the first line-up changes took place. Oleg Turko was replaced by Lyamur (Orest Galitsky). Lesik left the musical care, and in his soul a lot of resentment and claims against his colleagues have accumulated.
But Mikhail, on the contrary, believes that Oleg Turko should not be offended, since he left of his own free will (Lesik openly stated that he wants to perform solo).
Oleg Turko demanded that the musicians pay him 5 million hryvnias. Of course, Mikhail Khoma refused him. The frontman just didn't have that much money.
Lesik decided to go further. In one of his social networks, the former soloist of the musical group Jijo gave the following answer: “I want to draw your attention to this information, the Mason Entertainment label fired all the soloists of the group due to administrative considerations, in order to sign new contracts with them later.
In the end, of course, they accepted all the musicians to their positions. Everyone except me, Lesik.
The answer was not long in coming. Mikhail posted the minutes of the meeting of the founders of Mason Entertainment. The protocol indicated that Lesik would receive compensation of 100 hryvnias, but Oleg Turko wanted more, so this amount did not suit him.
The soloists of the musical group could not resolve this issue peacefully. Oleg Turko transferred his shares in the projects to a completely outsider who has nothing to do with the group.
We are talking about the mother of Alexei Scriabin. By that time, Scriabin was no more.
After Lesik left the musical group, from which his own work began, he became the founder of the Dzidzi`off group. Lesik began to perform hits "Banda-Banda", "Pavuk", "Cadillac" and many others.
The soloist of the presented musical group Ostap Danilov “licked off” the image of Mikhail Khoma - he appeared on stage in tracksuits and a hat with a feather.
Of course, no one expected this from Lesik. Actions on the part of the former soloist of the Jijo group greatly angered Homa. But, Lesik said that he has the same rights to create a copy of Jidzio.
Mikhail filed a lawsuit against Lesik, but the case has not yet been resolved. The musicians no longer communicate. Everyone continues to do their own thing.
After Lesik left the musical group, the guys filmed a video clip for the track “Ptakhopodibna”.
In the development of the video clip, not only the director, but also members of the musical group took part: according to the plot, Mikhail invites friends to celebrate an event dedicated to him.
At the festival, one of them, because of the overdose of alcoholic beverages, begins to behave like a "bird-like person."
Especially for the video clip, the sculptor made a statue of this creature weighing almost 500 kg and 1 m high, as well as 8 of its small bronze copies.
After filming, the soloists of the musical group did not get rid of the statue, but simply put it in their main office.
The soloists of the group spent a lot of effort on creating the video. As a result, fans of Jizo's work did not appreciate the efforts of the guys at all.
Viewers marked this video with a large number of dislikes. Such a protest was caused by the fact that Lesik is no longer part of the Ukrainian group.
In 2017, another member left the band - keyboardist Yulik. The young man also left to conquer his old dream.
He wanted to become a DJ, and judging by his achievements, he succeeded. Yulik was replaced by new musicians Agrus and Rumbambar.
Films
Video clips of a musical group on YouTube always gain millions of views.
In the comments that users left under the video, they asked Mikhail Khoma to make a full-length film.
Mikhail thought for a long time about the proposal of his fans, and yet he decided.
In 2016, he became the protagonist of the film "DZIDZIO Double Bass". In addition to Mikhail himself, Lyubomir Levitsky, the author of the films “Shadows of Unforgotten Ancestors” and SELFIEPARTY, worked on the plot, later Oleg Borshchevsky joined them.
The films were released to the masses in 2017.
The audience was impressed. But the reviews of critics were not unambiguous. No, the acting and the idea of the film were on top, but the work of the director was a little behind.
But, one way or another, this project received the main prize of the XII International VINNITSIA comedy and parody film festival.
Success in cinema inspired Mikhail to continue working in this direction. A year later, Khoma begins to create his own film.
In 2018, viewers were able to watch the film "The First Time". The film was shot in the style of a romantic comedy, which continued the topics covered in "Contrabass".
In the film, Mikhail Khoma played himself, so the shooting did not cause him any special difficulties.
Interesting facts about the Jijo group
- The soloist of the group, Mikhail Khoma, began to read by syllables when he was not yet three years old.
- Dzidzio's favorite confectionery product is “andruty” (wafer cakes smeared with condensed milk). Such cakes were given to Mikhail by his mother.
- The words “Galka maє Stepana” in the musical composition “I and Sarah” are not an accident. The fact is that this is the name of mom and dad Dzidzio.
- For the first time, the performer showed his mother at the DZIDZIO SUPER-PUPER concert, which took place in Lviv.
- Mikhail Khoma is against milk, and does not understand at all how adults can consume a dairy product. “Milk is a product for children. And adults need to decide on grass or meat, ”says the singer.
Jijo musical group now
In 2018, the musical group DZIDZIO decided to organize a big concert at the Arena Lviv stadium in honor of the Constitution Day of Ukraine. The performance of the musicians was broadcast by the 1+1 channel.
The group pleased the fans of their work with the most top compositions. We are talking about the tracks “Me and Sarah”, “Rozluk will not be”, “Vihidny”.
In addition to the fact that the guys wanted to please the audience with a live performance on Constitution Day, they performed in honor of supporting the new album called "SUPER-PUPER".
Mikhail Khoma says that he is working on a new film, but is not yet ready to talk about it loudly.
In addition, in 2018, the frontman of the musical group presented the hit "My Lyubov".
In 2019, Jijo presented the video “I am a millionaire”.
