Financial and creative failures did not embarrass the singer. Together with his friends, Everlast creates the House of Pain gang, which signs an agreement with the publisher Tommy Boy Rec. In 1992, the album of the same name "House of Pain" appears, which sells in millions of copies and receives the status of multi-platinum. The audience especially remembered the hit “Jump Around”, which constantly played on the air of TV channels and radio stations.

After the successful release, the group released two more albums, which did not receive much popularity.

The band continued their creative activity until 1996. For some time, Erik Schrody was a member of the popular band La Coka Nostra, which played hip-hop music. After the collapse of House of Pain, Everlast prefers solo work.

Everlast's victory over death

At the age of 29, the singer had a severe heart attack, caused by a congenital heart defect. During a complex cardiac operation, an artificial valve was installed on a young man.

The musician, who has recovered from his illness, releases his second solo album entitled "Whitey Ford Sings the Blues". The record was a resounding commercial success and received a lot of positive reviews from music critics.

The compositions of the album successfully combine rap and guitar music. Most of all, the listeners remembered the tracks "What It is Like and Ends". The songs hit the top lines of the music charts. The release of "Whitey Ford Sings the Blues" took place with the active assistance of John Gamble and Dante Ross.

The fate of the third solo album was quite difficult. The record "Eat at Whitey's" did not receive commercial success in America immediately upon release. Gradually, the public "tasted" the new musical material, and the disc began to be actively sold all over the world. Over time, the album went platinum and received critical acclaim. Rolling Stone named Eat at Whitey's the most important album of the month.

The singer does not stop there and releases two more records, as well as a mini-album "Today".

Creative works are positively received by the public and critics, but do not receive platinum status. There is less rap on White Trash Beautiful. Blues fragments and melodic losses appeared in the songs. Everlast has worked with dozens of world famous musicians during his creative activity. He sang with Korn, Prodigy, Casual, Limp Bizkit and others.

Song content
