Yevgeny Krylatov's date of birth is February 23, 1934. He was born in the town of Lysva (Perm Territory). Parents were simple workers - they had nothing to do with creativity. In the mid-30s, the family moved to the working area of ​​Perm.

In his youth, the head of the family collected long plays with the works of the classics, and his mother loved to sing Russian folk songs. From an early age, Eugene showed a genuine interest in music, so at the age of seven he was sent to a music school. The Krylatov family lived in poverty, so at first Evgeny honed his skills not on the piano, but on the table.

He showed an interest in composition. He successfully graduated from the music school, and then entered the Perm Musical College in the class of one of the best teachers in his city.

At the end of the 40s, the Department of Culture made a gift for Eugene. He was presented with a musical instrument - a straight-stringed piano. Some time later, he presented the admirers of classical music with several heartfelt romances and a string quartet.

Eugene's abilities were noted at the highest level. The director of the school sent a young man to the competition of young maestro in the capital of the Russian Federation. In Moscow, he was given a letter of recommendation, thanks to which he entered the conservatory without any problems. Being within the walls of an educational institution, he did not waste time in vain. The young maestro composed a number of brilliant works, which today are considered classics of the genre. After graduating from the Moscow Conservatory, he took up writing musical works for drama performances at the Maly Theater, the Youth Theater, and the Riga Theater of Russian Drama.

Surprisingly, the first works of Krylatov, which he wrote for films, turned out to be insipid. He composed musical works for the tapes "Life at first" and "Vaska in the taiga". Despite the obvious talent, music lovers reacted rather coolly to the works. This was followed by a 10-year break in his creative career.

The heyday of his creative biography came at the end of the 60s. It was then that the Umka cartoons debuted on TV screens with the popular Bear's Lullaby and Santa Claus and Summer, with the composition "This is what our summer is like."

When the authority of Eugene was fully restored, major directors became interested in him. In the early 70s, he composed a number of immortal musical works for films: “Property of the Republic”, “Oh, this Nastya!”, “About love”. In addition, in the 70s he wrote musical accompaniment for films: “And then I said no ...”, “Looking for a person”, “The woodpecker does not have a headache”, “Confusion of feelings”.

In the same period of time, he composes, perhaps, one of the most popular works of his repertoire - "Winged Swing" and "What progress has come to." The songs are featured in the Soviet film Adventures of Electronics. The songs “Beautiful Far Away” and “Flight” (the film “Guest from the Future”) deserve special attention. In one of the interviews he said:

“I have never written specially adapted music for the younger generation. My children's works reflect the world and soul of childhood. My work is not limited only to children's music, although it is relatively childish!

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, he had a hard time. He could no longer work in his long-loved film studios. This was a big disappointment for the maestro. In the life of the maestro came the so-called creative crisis.
