Evgeny Martynov: Childhood and youth

Yevgeny Martynov was born after the war, namely in May 1948. The family of the future composer suffered greatly from the Great Patriotic War. Father, like all men of that time, went to the front.

Unfortunately, he returned from there disabled. Mother also saw the fear of war, as she was a nurse in one of the front-line hospitals. But the main thing is that both of Martynov's parents survived.

After the end of the war, Eugene appeared, and 9 years later a brother was born, who was named Yura. Initially, the family lived in the small town of Kamyshin, near Volgograd.

As soon as Zhenya was born, his parents decided to move to Ukrainian Artyomovsk, located in the Donetsk region. This city can be considered native to Eugene. In addition, Artyomovsk is the birthplace of his father.

Zhenya became interested in music very early. Songs were always sung in his parents' house. My father played the button accordion, and my mother sang familiar tunes. The guy's father was a singing teacher at school, and also led an art circle.

The boy often went to classes with his father, and also attended the holidays organized by him. The guy fell in love with music so much, but at the same time he was fond of other creative directions. For example, quoting famous monologues from films, drawing, magic tricks.

True, music turned out to be much more important for Martynov, and over time, it ousted other hobbies from his life. The guy received a musical education and entered the Pyotr Tchaikovsky School, mastered playing the clarinet. Parents never insisted on a musical career for their son. Music was his conscious choice.

In 1967, Zhenya left for Kyiv, where he became a student at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Pyotr Tchaikovsky. However, he soon moved to the Donetsk Pedagogical Institute, which he graduated ahead of schedule and received the coveted diploma.

Soon he published an author's romance for clarinet and piano, and then received the position of leader of a pop orchestra.

Musical career of Evgeny Martynov

Martynov's creative career began in 1972. It was in this year that he received a diploma of higher education and decided to go to conquer Moscow. At this point, he had already written a lot of music to poetry. One of the songs was sung by the famous Maya Kristalinskaya.

Only a year passed, and Martynov began working as a soloist-vocalist in the Rosconcert association. In addition, he served as a music editor in the well-known magazine Pravda. In 1978, Eugene starred as an actor in the film "A Fairy Tale Like a Fairy Tale".

In it, he played the role of the groom of a romantic nature. But it was the first and last film work.

In 1984 Martynov became a member of the Council of Composers of the USSR. From that moment on, his work became very popular. In addition, the composer wrote compositions for other performers. Thanks to this, he received many awards and prizes, as well as recognition from listeners. Even Ilya Reznik and Robert Rozhdestvensky collaborated with him.

Yevgeny Martynov had a very wide range of voice, and he was even offered to become an opera singer. However, Zhenya refused, stating that the stage for him is the preferred option for manifesting his own talent.

The personal life of the singer Yevgeny Martynov

Yevgeny Martynov was in no hurry to get married, and devoted his young years to creative development. The singer and composer tied the knot by marriage only at the age of 30. The wife was an ordinary girl from Kyiv named Evelina. Martynov lived happily with her and raised his son, who was named Sergei.

This name was not chosen by chance. The composer decided to name his son so in honor of Yesenin and Rachmaninov, whose work he was amazed, like the rest of his family. After the death of Eugene, his wife married a second time. Together with Sergey (the new spouse) and the son born from him, she soon moved to Spain, where she lives to this day.

Death of Evgeny Martynov

Unfortunately, Evgeny Martynov passed away very early. It happened at the age of 43. Fans took this news with a smile, believing that this was someone's evil joke. After all, death was sudden and unexpected for absolutely all Soviet citizens. But the sad news was confirmed. According to doctors, the cause of death is acute heart failure.

Some eyewitnesses said that Martynov lost consciousness and died in the elevator. The second said that he became ill on the street. If the ambulance had arrived in time, he could have been saved.

Yevgeny Martynov was buried at the Kuntsevo cemetery in Moscow. He performed the last song on August 27, 1990. And it turned out to be Maryina Grove, which became a farewell gift for all fans.
