Five Finger Death Punch was formed in the United States in 2005. The history of the name is connected with the fact that the band's frontman Zoltan Bathory was engaged in martial arts. The title is inspired by classic movies. In translation, it means "Crushing blow with five fingers." The music of the group sounds similarly, which is aggressive, rhythmic and has an integral structure.
Creation of Five Finger Death Punch
The team was founded in 2005. The initiative was taken by Zoltan Bathory, who previously had experience in performing. In addition to him, Ivan Moody, Jeremy Spencer and Matt Snell were present in the original team. Also among them was Caleb Bingham, but he was replaced by Darrell Roberts.
Personnel changes continued. Therefore, after a short period of time, Roberts and Snell also left. And instead of them, Jason Hook appeared in the team.
Such replacements are characteristic of any musical group, especially at the initial stage of development. Despite this, Five Finger Death Punch remained true to their original direction.
The performers wanted to take on the development of the group on their own, so the first album was created without outside help. All band members knew how to work on stage. And their names were not something new in the circle of rock music. That is why the team did not need to perform in bars to get an audience.

The group's first record was released under the name Way of the Fist. The song Bleeding (from the album) was in the top 10 list of the best tracks and was included in the rotation on the radio for more than six months. That is why it can be called a real hit of 2007.

The main problem that both critics and fans noticed was the banal meaning of the lyrics. The break between the release of albums took 6 years. Nevertheless, the group continued to tour with songs, paving the way for the release of the next record.
In 2015, the band announced their third studio album. At the same time, the premiere of the track Ain't My Last Dance took place. In the same year, the group performed with a joint tour, partnered with Papa Roach. This event was supposed to draw the attention of potential listeners to the new album. Such a move was another achievement.
Difficulties in group activities
The next year was very difficult for the group's performers. After the label change, the musicians collaborated with Prospect Park, which filed a lawsuit against them. Its essence was that the performers began work on the creation of new songs without notifying their partners about it. In addition, this move was due to the fact that the band has become the best-selling rock music genre over the past 24 months.
The situation was aggravated by the alcoholism of the band's soloist Ivan Moody. In addition to alcohol, he also used illegal substances. Neither the participants nor the producers of the team liked this development of events. In the same year, the band signed with Rise Records. However, due to a court decision on the already mentioned statement, she released another album.
Five Finger Death Punch today
In 2018, the Five Finger Death Punch tour took place along with the performers of the Breaking Benjamin band. There were also personnel changes - drummer Charlie Engen joined the team in place of drummer Jeremy Spencer. An interesting fact is that the performer chose a replacement for himself through social networks. Then he got a job in the American police.
In 2019, Ivan Moody announced to the public the release of homeopathic medicines designed to fight drug addiction and psychological illness. This step was provoked by the refusal of the artist himself from a destructive lifestyle. In order to help people like him, Ivan sold drugs under his own brand. They helped eliminate stress and anxiety.
