Georgy Vinogradov: Biography of the artist

The head of the family died early. George had to feel early what adult life is. To improve the financial situation of the family, he had to go to work.

During this period of time, Vinogradov sings in the church choir. In addition, he learns to play musical instruments. Despite the desire to become a musician, George could not afford to receive a specialized education, due to the lack of financial stability. He decided to leave the gymnasium, and later got a job at the workers' faculty. A few years later he took up the post of telegraph operator.

Work and absolute workload did not discourage George from developing. He still sang, and after 20 years he entered the Eastern Music College. The teachers managed to discern talent and great potential in Vinogradov. They advised the young man to go to Moscow.

He got to the capital, having passed the exams at the communications academy. For a long time George dreamed of performing on the professional stage. Soon his dreams came true and led him to the Tatar Opera Studio at the Moscow Conservatory.

At the end of the 30s, Georgy took 6th place at the I All-Union Vocal Competition. But, most importantly, he managed to catch the eye of popular Soviet composers. From this period of time, his career is gaining unprecedented momentum.

Before the Second World War, he was a member of the State Jazz Orchestra of the Soviet Union. He was the first in whose performance the musical composition "Katyusha" was performed. The authors of the composition Matvey Blanter and Mikhail Isakovsky were sure that only Vinogradov could convey the emotions of the work.

"Fans" of George's work loved to listen to arias from classical operas, which the artist performed on the waves of Soviet radio. Often he entered into interesting collaborations that increased the number of fans. With Andrei Ivanov, he recorded the songs "Sailors", "Vanka-Tanka" and "The Sun Shines". With Vladimir Nechaev - a couple of military compositions "In the forest near the front" and "Oh, roads."

His repertoire includes the tango, which he recorded before the onset of hostilities. It is about the work "My Happiness". The composition was performed for servicemen leaving for the front. The songs, performed by the Soviet singer, raised the spirit of the fighters. It should be noted that romances performed by Vinogradov were included in various concert programs.

He loved jazz, but he performed it mainly on foreign stages. Eddie Rosner allowed George to perform a number of works with his orchestra. Some of the works were recorded on records. They sold out in large numbers.

Work in an ensemble under the direction of Alexandrov

Since 1943, he was a member of the ensemble led by A.V. Aleksandrov. Vinogradov recalls that the mood that prevailed in the team prompted him to the most vile thoughts. There was an atmosphere of intrigue, evil and reticence. The artist did not want to take part in tricks, so he soon became an outcast. The members of the ensemble did everything to ensure that Vinogradov "voluntarily" left the band.

At the end of the 40s of the last century, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR. He was at the top of the musical Olympus. It would seem that nothing can spoil his success and reputation. However, after a performance in Poland, Vinogradov received a complaint written by one of the representatives of the Alexandrov ensemble. George was accused of misbehaving in front of the public. He was stripped of the title of People's Artist and asked to leave the ensemble.

Most of all, in this situation, the tenor was disturbed by the fact that he could no longer perform on stage. George could not tour. His career was destroyed. However, not everyone turned away from the performer during this period of time. For example, "School Waltz" Iosif Dunaevsky composed specifically for Vinogradov.

In the mid-60s, he decided to leave the stage. Vinogradov felt that he was quite ripe to share his experience and knowledge with the younger generation. He took up teaching.

His personal life did not work out well the first time. Soon after he legalized relations with his first wife, a child was born in the family. The couple did not have enough wisdom to save the family. It is known that the daughter from her first marriage followed in the footsteps of a popular dad - she realized herself in a creative profession.

He found family happiness with Evgenia Alexandrovna. She worked in production, and according to her friends, she sang well. In this marriage, the couple had a common son.

Death of Georgy Vinogradov

He repeatedly found himself in a hospital bed after bouts of angina pectoris. He passed away on November 11, 1980. He died at home. Heart failure was the cause of death.
