GOT7 is one of the most popular group in South Korea. Some members made their debut on stage even before the creation of the team. For example, JB starred in a drama. The rest of the participants appeared sporadically in television projects. The most popular then was the musical battle show WIN.
The band's official debut took place in early 2014. It became a real musical event in the South Korean music industry. The group's record label is one of the most popular and influential in South Korea. But for four years they did not search for new talents.
No wonder GOT7 has attracted the interest of music critics and listeners. The guys immediately declared themselves as strong musicians. The debut mini-album hit the top of the Billboard international music chart. The first performance as a single team took place already as part of a music show. Many record labels offered them cooperation, but the musicians chose Sony Music.
The guys have proven themselves to be hard workers. A few months later, the second mini-album was released. Many noted that it sounded different, the music became more dynamic and vibrant. Artists were noticed in Japan, where they often began to travel with concerts.
GOT7 Creative Career Development
2015 began with the fact that the musicians won the Debut of the Year nomination in several competitions. They were also among the first to create their own television series. The cast pleased the stars of modern Korean cinema. The number of spectators was estimated at more than a dozen spectators. The work was also appreciated by critics, the series was named "Best Drama of the Year".
GOT7's popularity has been on the rise. They decided to take full advantage of this. Fame in Japan contributed to the recording of the second track in Japanese. The first full-length album in Japanese was released in 2016 and consisted of 12 tracks. In order not to upset their fans at home, the musicians recorded two more Korean mini-LPs.
The team continued to increase the army of fans of their talent. Musicians began to be invited not only to television shows, but also to fashion shows as models. As a result, the guys became the face of the Thai brand of sweet soft drinks. After that, the participants decided to try themselves as producers of their own songs and videos. For example, everyone took part in the preparation of the eighth mini-album.
In 2018, GOT7 began their global tour that lasted throughout the summer. The band performed in Japan, Europe and the United States of America. A year later, the musicians released one Korean and one Japanese record each. To support the releases, the performers went on another big tour, lasting four months.
GOT7 activities today
Despite all the difficulties and the global pandemic, 2020 has been a successful year for musicians. In April, they released their 11th mini album and took part in several music shows. The performers made grandiose creative plans: many concerts, recording new videos and large-scale tours. However, the pandemic has changed.
Performances had to be canceled, and all planned television programs with their participation were filmed in empty studios. In autumn, the musicians announced the release of a new song and another mini-album. The release took place in November.
Winter has brought excitement to the ranks of GOT7's fans. There were rumors that one of the members plans to leave the band. At first they were not confirmed. On the contrary, the producers reported that the team would continue its activities with even greater activity. At the beginning of 2021, they again began to talk about the breakup of the group. As a result, the information was confirmed. The last performance of the musicians took place at the Golden Disk Awards music ceremony.
The composition of the musical project
The last line-up of the group consisted of seven people:
- JB (Im Jae Bum), who is considered the leader of the team. He is the main singer and dancer;
- Mark;
- Jackson. He sings less than others. Nevertheless, without his vocals, the impression of unfinished songs was created;
- Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom.

The group has an official community whose name in Korean is consonant with the word "chick". Therefore, singers sometimes call their fans that.
The guys were very friendly, despite different nationalities. There are Koreans, a Thai and a Chinese American in the group.
The musicians were chosen as representatives of the Fire Agency in Korea.
Each performance consists of a song and a corresponding dance. They demonstrate complex choreography with elements of martial arts.
The band's tracks are still regularly played in the music charts, not only in Korea, but also in the world.
GOT7 has a lot of "fans" all over the world. Listening to songs does not interfere with the language barrier. The performers have been on world tours several times, each time gathering a full house. Loyal "fans" appreciate their hard work and dedication.
