Human Nature has earned its place in history as one of the best vocal pop bands of our time. She "burst" into the ordinary life of the Australian public in 1989. Since that moment, the musicians have become famous all over the world.
A distinctive feature of the group is a harmonious live performance. The group consists of four classmates, brothers: Andrew and Mike Tierney, Phil Burton and Toby Allen.
Group origins
Initially, a group of high school students formed the boy band The 4 Trax. After they signed their first professional contract with Sony Music, the band's popularity began to increase. The agreement with the record company was due to their mentor, Alan Jones. It was he who introduced the guys to the CEO of Sony Music Australia - Dennis Handlin.
The composition that the guys performed at the first meeting was an a cappella version of People Get Ready. This performance impressed Handlen, and he signed a contract with young and talented performers. The contract forced the band's name to be changed, thus the band was renamed Human Nature.
Since then, the band has released 13 studio albums, 19 top 40 singles and 5 top 10 hits in the world. In Australia alone, the band's album sales grossed over $2,5 million.
A turning point in the history of Human Nature
The first album of the guys was released in 1996 under the name Telling Everybody. He also hit the top 30 songs. In the top 50 hit parade, the collection lasted 64 weeks. Periodically, the musicians published new songs and collections, thanks to which the group was popular.
In 2005, the band released the album Reach Out: The Motown Record. A collection of classic songs known as My Girl, Baby I Need Your Lovin' and I'm Be There topped the Australian charts. It has sold over 420 copies.
In 2006, songs from this album were actively performed in collaboration with absolute stars of the first magnitude, including:
- Mary Wilson;
- The Supremes;
- Martha Reeves;
- Smokey Robinson.
Thanks to cooperation with the latter, at the end of 2008, the Human Nature group went on tour to America. There, Smokey Robinson introduced the group by hosting Human Nature: The Motown Show in Las Vegas. The musicians performed in the magnificent imperial palace for four years with a schedule of 5 days a week.
The collaboration with Robinson continued. In 2013, Human Nature moved their show to the Sands showroom. It was located in the prestigious Veneetian Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. There the guys did performances for two years. In the same year, Human Nature released their first Christmas album, The Christmas Album. It became the third most popular Australian album of 2013 to go platinum twice. Since its release, it has been in the world's top 20 albums every year.
Performances and tours
The tenth album for Sony Music Entertainment and the band was Jukebox, a fundamentally different concept album. This record met all expectations and went double platinum in sales. Album Gimme Some Lovin': Jukebox Vol II! topped the ARIA Top Albums Chart, where it stayed for two weeks.
Since April 21, 2016, Human Nature has been presenting the Human Nature JUKEBOX Show to the public for three years in the Sands showroom in Las Vegas, Venice. The show was hailed by critics as one of the must-see shows in Vegas.
The US release of Jukebox: The Ultimate Playlist coincided with their national PBS event HUMAN NATURE: JUKEBOX IN CONCERT FROM THE VENETIAN in November and December 2017. In March 2019, Human Nature expanded their program and renamed the show Human Nature Sings Motown and More.
In April 2019, the band returned to their home country of Australia for the Little More Love Tour. It was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the team. Throughout its existence, the group has taken part in tours with such world stars as Michael Jackson and Celine Dion. I especially remember the performance in front of 4 million viewers from all over the world at the opening of the 2000 Olympic Games.
There were 15 tours in Australia. For 10 years of creative activity, the group has visited various television shows in the USA. One of these was the popular in America "The Oprah Winfrey Show". In addition, the team attended The Talk, Dancing With The Stars, The View, Wheel of Fortune in the USA. In addition, the musicians hosted their own show on Fox 5 Vegas.
Human Nature Group Awards
On January 26, 2019, the band was awarded one of their country's highest honors, the Order of Australia Medal (OAM). The award was presented by the Governor General of Australia for their service to the performing arts and entertainment industry. The Order of Australia is a distinguished award that Australians recognize for the achievements and service of their fellow citizens and society.
On November 27, 2019, Human Nature was inducted into the prestigious "ARIA Hall of Fame" at the 2019 ARIA Awards in Sydney. The awards were sponsored by YouTube and broadcast to billions of people around the world.
Our days
After a triumphant 2019, the Human Nature team began 2020 with the release of a new original single, Nobody Just Like You. This seismic product from Grammy-nominated producer Gray is the lead single from the Good Good Life EP. It includes five brand new original songs from the world famous vocal group.
In February 2020, the band announced the upcoming 2020 national Australian tour Good Good Life - Aria Hall of Fame Tour.
As part of this event, the popular vocal group will light the stage with the best compositions in the history of a successful 30-year career. In addition, new compositions that the group has presented in the past two years will be performed.
