The guys had no experience of working in musical groups until the moment the band was founded, so the first few years they gained experience, which resulted in several singles and one album.

Thanks to the cover version of the famous song Wonderful Life by the Black group, the band was very popular.

The beginning of the band's career

Hyperchild was formed by friends who didn't know much about music but really wanted to be rock stars. The city of Braunschweig, where the future musicians lived, is famous for its science.

After school, the guys thought to link their lives with studying at prestigious institutes, but music did its job.

The name of the group was thought up at the very first rehearsal. Axel called his guys Hyperchild. After all, they were really hyperactive, which was proved by the first concerts that took place in small clubs.

There was little musical component in them, but there was more than enough energy. During the first concert, the average age of the musicians was 19 years old. Moreover, Axel Boss was barely 17 years old.

Musically, the band was interested in the "heavy" scene. In the wake of the popularity of such monsters as the Scorpion group, especially the Accept group, the guys gravitated towards a "heavy" sound.

But technology did not allow them much, and the students did not have much money for good instruments.

Cover version of Wonderful Life

The Hyperchild team started out like many other groups - with cover versions of songs. For the first five years after the creation, the guys rehearsed intensely, which was not in vain.

In 2000, the group's main hit single Wonderful Life was recorded.

Who just did not cover this famous song of the British rockers from the Black group. There are many versions of it in different styles and arrangements.

The song is the epitome of subtle English humor. It sings about how beautiful life is, but the background is a sad minor tune.

The guys from the Hyperchild group "heavier" the sound and made it even more hard, but the melody itself became more cheerful. A music video was filmed for the song, set on the roof of a high-rise building in Berlin.

The single peaked at number 80 on the German Top Songs chart. The guys became very popular and were regularly invited to perform.

In 2001, the band recorded the song Goodbye. The sound was noticeably "lighter", the composition was based on acoustic guitars, and Axel's voice became more powerful.

The song turned out pretty good, but was very inferior to Wonderful Life. And hardly any composition could compare with the world hit.

A year later, the Hyperchild group released a full-length album, Easily. The album consisted of 13 songs, among which was the main hit of the team.

After its release, the band moved from their native Braunschweig to the country's capital, Berlin. But within the team, disagreements began, and the group ceased to exist. The guys announced that they were parting friends.

Solo career of Axel Boss

Immediately after the breakup of the Hyperchild group, Axel Boss went to Spain, where he rested and collected his thoughts. He decided to resume his career as a musician. Upon returning to Berlin, Boss formed a band of musicians Uncle Ho and Heyday.

The band's first album was released in 2005. The disc was called Kamikaze Herz. In terms of melody, the compositions were reminiscent of the early work of Axel Boss with the Hyperchild group.

The songs of the disc got into the repertoire of young radio stations 1LIVE and Radio Fritz. This allowed the public to remember Axel Boss again. But critics didn't really like the album.

They considered that the recorded material was rather "raw", and the band played music of average quality. Although there were those who appreciated the text content.

They found the songs about self-destruction written by Axel quite life-affirming. If such a dualism, of course, can be.

A year later, the album Guten Morgen Spinner was released. The peculiarity of this album was its recording in just one week. The title track appeared after Boss met the dawn on the banks of the Spree River.

The fans saw the third album Taxi in 2009. Immediately after its release, the band left their label and began to work independently.

Other types of creativity of the Boss

Axel Boss had a good vocal. At the 2011 Bundesvision competition, which brought together the best musicians from every region of Germany, Axel took third place. Two years later, he received the first prize at this competition.

In 2011, the musician was awarded another award, which he received for his photographic work. In the 1LIVE Krone competition, Boss won first place as "Best Artist".

Axel Boss is one of the most popular German rock musicians. He did not sing in English, as most German rockers did. This talented person is not only the founder of the Hyperchild group, but also of another successful team.

In 2013, he won the Grand Prix of the best singer in Germany. The Hyperchild group did not have time to make a significant history, but they were able to help Axel develop his talent, which he successfully uses today.
