Igor Talkov was born in the small village of Gretsovka. The boy grew up and was brought up in a very intelligent family. But the love of music still outweighed. In his teenage years, Talkov began to master playing the piano and guitar. At the same time, Igor organizes his own ensemble, which he assigns the name "Guitarists".
After a serious illness, the young man's voice breaks, and hoarseness appears in it. Then Igor Talkov considered that the singer's career could be ended. But, if he knew that later the whole country would go crazy for this particular feature of his voice, he would not consider hoarseness to be a disadvantage.
Igor Talkov: the thorny search for a vocation
In addition to his passion for sports and music, Talkov is also involved in theater. He did not take part in school plays, but he liked to watch various skits. Having received a certificate of secondary education, he Talkov Jr. submits his documents to the theater institute. Igor was confident in himself and in his talent, and therefore did not even think that he would not enter.
But, Talkov was waiting for failure. Igor did not pass the exam in literature. The young man has to pick up documents from the university. He returns to his place, and enters the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Tula Pedagogical Institute.
A year passes and Talkov decides to leave the walls of the Pedagogical University. He has no interest in the exact sciences. In addition, Talkov had been nurturing all this time the idea that he wanted to enter the Leningrad Institute of Culture. He enters a higher educational institution, but even here he only lasts a year. The Soviet system of education did not suit Igor. In the same year, Talkov first expressed his opinion about the communist government.
Powerful criticism of Talkov very quickly scattered throughout the region. But the case did not reach the court. Igor is called to serve in the army. Talkov is sent to serve the Fatherland in Nakhabino near Moscow.
In the army, Talkov did not stop making music. Igor organized an ensemble, which received the thematic name "Asterisk". And then the day came when Igor says goodbye to life in the army, but does not say goodbye to music. Igor Talkov firmly decided that he wanted to be creative, having realized himself as a singer.
Talkov after the army goes to Sochi, where he gives his performances in restaurants and cafes. In 1982, a real revolution began in his biography. Igor Talkov decided for himself that singing in restaurants, bars and cafes is humiliating for a real singer. Therefore, the musician decided to “tie up” with this activity. Igor Talkov planned to conquer the big stage.

Talkov began writing songs in his youth. In particular, the musician speaks warmly about his first song "I'm a little sorry." But the singer considers the song “Share” to be a real breakthrough in his musical career. In the mid-1980s, Talkov toured the countries of the USSR with the group of Lyudmila Senchina. In 1986, fate smiles at Igor. He becomes a member of the Electroclub musical group, produced by David Tukhmanov.

After leaving, Igor Talkov organizes his own group, which is called the Lifebuoy. A year after the founding of the group, the video “Russia” was released, which was first broadcast on the federal channel in the program “Before and after midnight”.
From just a popular singer, Talkov turns into a legendary performer, whose songs are listened to by millions of music lovers throughout the USSR.
The peak of Igor Talkov's popularity came in 90-91. The musician's songs "War", "I'll be back", "CPSU", "Gentle Democrats", "Stop! I think to myself!”, “Globe” sound in every entrance.
During the August coup, Igor with the Lifebuoy group performs on Palace Square in Leningrad. After this performance, the singer writes the song "Mr. President". In the musical composition, Talkov expresses dissatisfaction with the policy of the first president of the Russian Federation.

Death of Igor Talkov
The Internet is full of information that the famous singer foresaw his death. Once, Talkov was flying in an airplane from his concert. There was an emergency that left the plane's passengers begging for it to land.
Igor Talkov reassured the passengers by saying: “You don’t have to worry, if I’m here, then the plane will definitely land. I will die from being killed in the crowd, and the killer will never be found.”
And already on October 6, 1991, in the St. Petersburg Yubileiny Sports Palace, Igor Talkov was supposed to take part in a combined concert with many other performers. Here a conflict arose between the director of the singer Aziza and Talkov. The swearing turned into a gunfight. Talkov died from a bullet in the heart.
